I'll be in Dallas for the 4th and was looking to see what local cans I could toss in my golf bag to bring back to Phoenix. Did a quick search on craftcans.com and it looks like I have quite a few options. Any recommendations on what's easily accessible in Dallas?
Deep Ellum IPA and DreamCrusher both come in cans, and while they have some consistency/quality issues when on they are both well worth your money. Four Corners puts out some fun cans. If you make it to Carrollton stop by @lonestarbev and they will likely have some TX cans you can't get anywhere else.
Get at least two sixers of Real Ale 4 Squared, it is excellent and readily available. If you like pilsners, get their Hans Pils too.
Cancel everything they have said and just fill your suitcase with Zoe. Throw the clothes out too. More room for Zoe and they basically make you strip at the airport anyway.
Is this now easily found in DFW? I haven't been to Specs in a while so I can't say about there, but i didn't think most H&G really comes to Dallas.
I'll be in Carrollton, so lone star was where I was planning to pick em up! Thanks everyone for the heads up!
I know that Real Ale is canning a Gose, but I have yet to see it on shelves and they JUST released White.
Dream crusher, deep ellum pale ale, southern star buried hatchet, 4squared, Blakkr (still on shelves at central market), el Chingòn if fresh. While here, try blood and honey, temptress, and community mosaic...to start.
Hello. If you mean local DFW breweries that can beer, there are a few options. Deep Ellum has 4 or 5 beers that they distribute in cans. Martin House has at least 3 and they will soon put out their Pretzel Stout in a can. Cedar Creek has 4 or 5 beers also in a can. Armadillo has 1 beer in a can (Greenbelt) and Rahr recently came out with a Pale Ale in a can. Four Corners have I believe 5 beers in a can and I think that is it for the local DFW breweries as far as cans are concerned. If you mean local as in Texas beers then you have a bigger selection to choose from. Karbach has several beers to choose from, as does Southern Star. Texian has quite a few as does Austin Beerworks. Hops and Grains have about 4 different beers in a can I believe. As mentioned above Real Ale has recently released their 18th Anniversary beer in a can (a Gose beer) and also recently released a Belgian White in a can. Good luck.
These breweries have some of the best offerings in the state when it comes to canned for retail. Austin Beerworks and Hops & Grain have some of the state's best beers in Heavy Machinery series, Black Thunder, Fire Eagle, TOTC Zoe, Greenhouse IPA series. Such a bummer that none, other than Southern Star, distribute to Dallas. Zoe would be a regular in my fridge this summer if I could get it in Dallas.
We used to get delivery from Hops & Grain but since the new distro change, havent been able to get a hold of anyone from the brewery.
