It hit here last year the first week in Dec, I know because I was in Cali at the time and now have none... so my vertical stops there

I'm in Massacusetts and was in a beer store today and there's two four packs of BCBS still sitting on the shelf. Why did we get shorted?

 

What were they asking for them? I was just curious.

 

$24 a 4 pack. Mass has crazy good distro, so maybe thats why it's sitting there on the shelf rather than being rationed 1 bottle per customer like it was in MN. It's dangerous to walk into that particular market store for a newspaper with your wallet on you - Cascade, LA Red Poppy, Sixpoint, Firestone Walker, Jacks Abby, Port, and that's not a speciality store.

 

I can't edit a post from an iPhone. But I should have clarified above the BCBS wasn't in a craft beer store. The better Port, Lost Abbey, and Cascades are in beer stores. The Cascades just sitting on the shelf really impressed me. What a treat to be able to walk into a beer store and have world class sours staring back at you on any given day.

 

I saw 4-5 six packs of it a small liquor store in MA yesterday (bought one $24), and they had the same for the Barleywine. Plus they had Juliet, Madame Rose and Lolita (those I don't see often). Yes we get very good distribution. According to the guy at Boulevard, when they expanded out of the midwest, they jumped straight to Massachusetts, as it has the highest craft beer consumption rate in the country. They started with Smokestack, but brought everything about six months later.

I'm always surprised that things like Port, Ballast Point, Firestone etc. aren't available everywhere.

 

Hmm. The last time I picked it up it wasn't yet at the rationing stage , $16.99/4-pack at Morelli's -- no limit.

It's a nice one to be sure, but with so many beers being brewed and given similar treatment these days, it surprises me that standard Bourbon County can still generate such a buzz, here. (<-- obvious pun is obvious.)

 

You close to Boston? GI Migration week was a couple weeks back...

 

BCBS is not packaged in 6 packs.
