Who from BA is going and has anyone heard about what beers will be there? I see the brewery list up on the website but no actual tasting list. Just being inquisitive is all.

The Brewfest in Summer "2014" has more info here: http://www.craftbrewraces.com/providence/
I do most of the 5k's throughout the year in RI so I signed up for this although the Brewfest won't be anything groundbreaking. Other than just about every RI brewery including startups, the breweries currently include: Banner, Shipyard, Two Roads, BBC, Traveler, Just Beer, Long Trail, Otter Creek, Shed, Wolavers, Cottrell, Safe Harbor and Shiner.

Typically the 5k races run about $25 alone, so I look at the beerfest as costing me only $20. (Although now the combined race/brewfest cost has risen to $55.)

If going, check out Proclamation, I hear good things about them and plan on hitting the brewery this weekend, and finding out for myself.

The full beer list will appear on the Drinking Sherpa app a week prior to the event. More breweries will also be added.
This is an RI centric beer festival celebrating the great leaps RI has made in the past few years. Cheers!

Agreed. The City of Providence forced us to do it on Sunday. Needless to say, we will not be doing it again in Prov next Summer. The city is tooooo expensive to run a successful event.

Brewmaster Dave Witham is an awesome guy and makes awesome beer. Get their early on Saturday to get his triple hopped IPA Stalk. It is getting great reviews and is limited.

That's a bummer. I'm curious as to how the city forced you to do it Sunday?
