@kgncfl is on to something with the hard 6. Like in cooking, sometimes what you leave out/where you show restraint really shows the thought put into the dish.

I vote hard 6. Let's be honest, the opportunity to send more beer to strangers/internet friends won't be in short supply in this thread.

Good point. The next Local I'm sure will have lots of extras...this one was meant to be a tweener so we can have our trading AND finish our beer from the last local.

This was my thinking in supporting the hard 6. [resume lurking]

    ...I guess I'm not really "lurking" if I won't shut up, I'm just not sending/receiving

Keeping it to a hard 6 is fine with me. Fair warning: contrary to @_RL_ 's post above, I'm perfectly fine with drinking stouts in the summer

I had a bonfire the other day and cracked open a S'more Money. I thought it was a nice summer night drinking a stout

I mean that is why we have vanilla ice-cream. Just did a KBS vertical last night.

That is awesome, how many years? Just had a KBS the other night because, well, why not? Need to be reminded every now and then of just how awesome that beer is.

    2010-2014. The 2010 & 2012 were tied for #1 for me.

Nice! I had a 2014 the other night, unfortunately while my allergies were bugging me so I couldn't taste almost any of it :slight_frown: I picked up a 2009 Black Chocolate Stout at my bottle shop today, will have that tonight I expect... also picked up a 2006 Doesjel, that one I won't drink so quickly.

I was going to give a few days to be in or out anyway. I figured it would take a couple days just to get messages from the 17 listed above.

The hard six is fine with me, but I definitely don't want to stick with a 12oz bottle size limit, mostly because one of the beers I plan on sending is a bomber.

And we can send have the shipping window start from the date I set the targets. I set it like I did because I figured it would take most people a few days to buy/pack and since next weekend is the 4th of July.

Revision: Shipping window is now from the target assignment date (likely June 29th) through August 4th.

And to those who have thanked me (publicly or privately) for taking charge for this round: Thanks! Glad to do it for this group.

I have been extremely lucky with some recent surprises, so figured I'd share the pron to give you guys something to look at between bifs...

I got home yesterday to find this at my front door, completely unsolicited, courtesy of @kgncfl [IMG]
and what was inside but [IMG]
A growler of Willoughby Peanut Butter Cup Coffee Porter that was arguably my number one want, along with a Fat Head's Head Hunter IPA and an HT that are a delicious example of packing materials.

This was after one of my kids lugged this around Europe for 2 weeks before bringing it home this week...

And then, to top it all off, my other kid came home for a weekend visit with this bundle of goodness...[IMG]
The three in the middle are Treehouse Double Shot, Treehouse Haze and Treehouse Julius. The latter two were delicious, the Double Shot (and the Willoughby PB Cup) will be opened tonight.

Treehouse is really good. I had their sap and tornado while I was out there last time.

I should start having kids so they can eventually bring me awesome beer too
Btw, super jealous of that Willoughby growler, my mouth was watering just thinking about that!

Yeah I am really looking forward to it; the box smelled amazing (the growler leaked a little bit, but it was all contained within @kgncfl's packing materials).

Went to the store last night, and after realizing I forgot my wallet, going back, getting it, and going back to the store, I picked up a couple summer beers. I haven't even gotten a target yet, but I'll be ready to go. Ha.
