I'm guessing the overwhelming response would be bottles and I expect it, since it's the norm with craft brew. Would a craft brew in a can be less desirable if you can't get it in any other form?

    Content trumps container, always.

I buy more Two Hearted cans than I do bottles. More beer and they are always on sale, it really isn't that I prefer the format. My decision is completely based on what format is available, what is the most affordable and what is the most appropriate for the given situation.

I agree...99% of my beer ends up in a glass, so I don't care how it gets to me. I don't grab a 64oz growler unless I plan on having it drank within 3-4 days.

I really like cans when I can get them, but I am happy with bottles and growlers.

500ml or 16 oz cans for most beers. Larger bottles ,22oz or pint, for any beer that should be aged. Cans now a days are as good or better than bottles and so much easier to pack around.

16oz cans preferably but it usually gets poured into some type of glass.

Growlers, love going to local breweries and getting beer fresh from the source.

I think cans are superior for beer storage, so I'd vote cans first. As for personal preference, I drink out of a glass pretty much all the time, so it really doesn't matter. However, I do really like the feeling of opening a nice belgian corked bottle!

I'm okay with cans or bottles because I always pour it into a glass. I'm not into growlers at all, mostly because all of the good beers that I could ever want are in cans or bottles.

I'm actually impressed by the number of responses. Since I switched from BMC to craft I hardly ever drink cans. Like most of you I almost always pour my brew into a glass.

Its what's inside that counts. Though I like whenever breweries offer cans because I can take them to the beach or fishing.

I always pour into a glass, or solo cup , too. But cans are easier to stack in the fridge (or cooler), are not subject to being lightstruck, they're more portable, make the recycling bin much lighter, and all that other good stuff. And 16 oz. is just the right amount for a serving- so, even though I use a glass, those size cans are where I would like things to go if I had a choice.
