Hey all just cracked this bad boy. Been looking forward to it since last year. Utterly amazing and everything a double (triple??) ipa should be. If you havent had it i STRONGLY suggest you try. The reason for this post i must say is a confession.....this may IMHO be the best DIPA out there. When u drink this guy, even in the bottle, it needs to be forever in the top leagues (might i add this double makes PtE look like a little b*tch), yes, up there with HV/ notorious, anyone who slams that thought i think needs to honest with themselves...what are your thoughts with this guy? Am i out of line with such beliefs?? Love to hear your thoughts as always BAs, cheers all!

Became available on Monday w/ no allocations, so possibly. I have some, and I'm sure there's some at the usual suspects still.

I haven't tried the newest reincarnation, but my review from the Stone Tenth Anniversary version was very positive, with a rare 5 each for aroma and flavor. I really should try it again, there have been a lot of IPAs under bridge since then. And really who needs an excuse for a Stone IPA.

I'm sure it's great but I do wish Stone would switch to 12 or 16 oz cans or bottles.

I'm not sure if it found a home in the cooler yet, but I know there was a stack of cases in the "end cap island" up front, right next to the Last couple cases of Enjoy By and the Collective Distortion.

last year was way too sweet for me - i preferred enjoy by much more.

    Any comparison to last years?

    For the Seattle area BA'ers:
Ballard Market had a bunch at $9.99 the other day.

Unfortunately I was disappointed. Wife and I did a side by side with Enjoy By and it wasn't close for either of us..she actually said she didn't like it at all but I think that might have been because she knew I would still drink it and she would then get all of the Enjoy By...

9.99? 30% up from my invoice has it at 6.99 for me.....equal to ruination actually. Seattle really that much more expensive?? I am the exact opposite, I didnt care for Enjoy By when I had it, I found it to taste in the finish like wax and lipstick. Maybe I got an off bottle.

I don't think so...it was a little shocking. I think Ballard Market is a little marked up (like Whole Foods pricing) but I couldnt find RuinTen anywhere else in the city yet so I wasn't sure what was going on...I am sure I will see it everywhere next week for $6.99. Not worth the $9.99.

I paid around $10 for my bottle @ Chuck's. I enjoyed trying it again but have no desire to buy more. I'm finding that I don't enjoy the sweeter, boozier DIPAs all that much. And yes, based on my limited experience I think Seattle beer prices are generally considerably higher than Oregon's, even before the sales tax (which OR of course doesn't have).

got it for $6.99 at Johns Market in PDX.

This will literally be one of my last efforts with Stone and their IPAs. I have given them plenty of opps over the years and it just has never clicked with me. I think Enjoy By is an unbalanced mess.

I believe most pineapple juice is served in a glass, yes. And this 46oz can costs only $2.48 @ Wal-Mart!
