I have the same rule. If I don't drink the beer, I don't keep the cap. I do, however, save all the caps, corks and cage caps, regardless of repeat. I have a big mason jar that I drop them into. When it's full, I dump 'em into a gallon ziplock, and start again. I want to get enough to make a decent start in a large apothecary jar. Souvenirs of a journey into deliciousness.

Oh, it's all good. Yeah, should have elaborated on that. Same brewery in each row, albeit different caps from different beers by the same brewery pop up, making each row less consistent looking.

OP and others who added a pic in this thread - I noticed that some of your caps are dented/creased from prying them off of the bottle. You'll wish someday that you had a way to prevent that from happening. Here's how: put a quarter on top of the cap before prying. Using a closed-loop opened is also more gentle on the edge of the cap to prevent damage there.

I made a lamp using chicken wire and bottle caps - I think I used about 470 caps. I have about 900-1100 caps now.

I certainly would not dent any of my caps like so many cruel people out there! All of my dented caps are "rescue caps" from the local Abused Cap Center.

It's the Long Trail Double Bag. I believe they redesigned the label on it.

Well, in terms of collecting caps, I'm just going to stick with my requirements for determining which caps to keep.

As for displaying them, I could use some advice! Mine are currently just laid out on a board under my bed. How do you store all of them in the midst of collecting? How are you displaying them now? Suggestions for how to lay them out for an attractive display?

I just recently decided to take step-by-step pictures of my cap-board making process and will show them if you'd like...

Easy weekend project (while putting a few back and adding to the collection) is making a tabletop or bar top. It is a great way to show them all off and be functional at the same time.
There is also tons of ideas on Pinterest on how to use them or display them.
