Just got back from picking up a few bottles at the Portland pub - $17. They were handing out tasters as well and this year's is excellent. Lots of chocolate up front. In the past few years the alcohol has been very present on release day, but this version the ABV is well hidden. Highly recommend buying if this has been your thing in the past.

Also handed out tasters of the Foray Belgian IPA. Smooth and mild IPA - good for people who don't necessarily want an IPA with a lot of bitterness.

Anyone know when it'll hit Seattle? I'm assuming next week but haven't really asked at my regular shops.

I think this years release is damn good. This is one of my favorite annual releases and always buy several. The 26 is smooth right now. It's not quite as boozy as the past few years. Normally it's pretty easy to stick em away for later. This tastes good now. Will be interesting to see how it changes. I think both the 24 and 25 are tasty now. Might have to bring these to the next parents drink while their kids do anything they want in the culdesaq night.

Love this beer. Probably more than the Abyss. And im not even a huge Porter fan.

XXIV and XXV were drinking amazing at the brewpub. They are so smooth and delicious right now. XXVI will be a welcome addition to my fridge.

Ran into a Deschutes rep at Tippe & Drague this evening. Bottles should be delivered to Seattle on Friday and be included in deliveries to retailers next week. Draft soon after.

I tasted some peppers. Is my palatte messed up? It was tasty. I also had it on tap at the brewpub in Portland.

I called around today to stores north of Seattle. They said nothing yet and not sure when, probably later this month. Anyone else heard anything?

John's Market has it, may be the closest to you. Maybe New Seasons in Sellwood, they usually get it.

The West Linn MofC is usually well supplied as well (they have a better selection than the Sellwood NS, in my experience). I would call in advance to make sure they have it, but if John's has received their allotment, then almost certainly MofC will have received their's as well.

They've used peppers in past versions, so maybe?
