I'm surprised nobody has mentioned New Holland's The Poet Oatmeal Stout

 

most of the year Breakfast Stout is 2.50 each, but towards the end of its yearly run I've been lucky enough to get for 1.50 the last couple of years. Ten Fidy is always $4 each. I've been hoping to see the price come down a little since they're in NC now.

 

Cadillac Mountain Stout. It's 11 for a sixer and it's damn tasty.

 

Speedway. Stocked up the last time I was in Ohio.

 

If we're talking "go to" in the terms that it's easily accessible, and the price won't put too big of a hurting on your bank account..... I'd have to go with one of the beers that got my love of craft started. Samuel Smiths Oatmeal Stout. Such a delicious classic.

Just terrible. I bought one of these and it was the most hot bourbon stout I've had.

 

I have a few. Founders Imperial Stout, Founders Breakfast Stout, and Oskar Blues TenFidy Stout. I am fortunate enough to be able to get Founders Imperial year round.

I have others, but those never fail me.

Also Dragons Milk isn't terrible on tap and as an easily accessible stout, as well as Narwhal Stout and Old Rasputin.

 

Stone RIS is the most accessible quality stout here. FBS and W&B are my favs but are gone in a couple months. Stone RIS sits on shelves 10 months a year and is 6 bucks.

Left Hand Milk Stout for its beauty and taste.

 

Right now it's Dark Horse's Fore Smoked Stout. It's being clearanced out all over West Michigan at 3.99 a 4 pack.
