Just opening it now. Been wanting this one since I first got into craft beer and wasn't able to find it... found it at the store with three singles left.

A beer I picked up last week in Cleveland when the Tigers embarrassed the Indians. Pretty damn good, even if it lacks flavor depth.

Thought this one seem'd fitting. Beef Rib & Chuck Roast in the smoker.
Gonna be a good day. Happy Sunday BA.

Getting to my first beer of the day, ready for NBS to kick off. Verdi, from Birrificio del Ducato, my first Italian craft beer!

Tons of chile pepper heat (especially on the back-end), but compared to the thick feel and strong flavors of an American Imperial Stout, this one just doesn't stand up, IMO. (Doesn't help that I had a Prairie Bomb! last night; comparing the two so near in time is simply not fair.)

Good beer though, overall. Just not worth picking up at anywhere near the price point.

    Cheers!

    Oskar Blues Gubna

Wow, with a subtly hot, cinnamon-like aroma and a taste that's not overly hoppy yet still maintains typical IPA characteristics, this beer is really delicious. I'm rarely let down by an Oskar Blues beer.

    Cheers!
