One more for the evening. It's been a busy, busy night with the little ones. Settling in to enjoy my last NG Scream IIPA.

Since we're on a '60s kick on the jukebox, you guys have got me listening to my favorite '60s band (by default; my favorite Pink Floyd stuff came in the '70s and '80s, and Sabbath's first album came out in 1970).

    Cheers and good evening, BAs!

This would have been posted yesterday but I was too busy enjoying my annual summer bbq on a perfect weather day.
Tonight I'm starting with Cigar City Jai Alai.

Wisconsin hops they say, hmmm—not too shabby. Met the hype IMHO.

In my attempt to OD on hops, I am following up a Carton 077XX, a CCB Jai Alai, and an Enjoy By with a 12 day old Flower Power. If I don't post tomorrow you will all know why. Cheers!!!

This is a very good session IPA. Very nice aromas with plenty of bright citrus/grassy hops. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, pine, light bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fair amount of bitterness, very crisp drinking. Flavor robustness is solid and it never feels watery. Glad I got that 8 pack. I knew it would be a good idea.

Solid ESB, it's pleasant. Taste of orange peel, apple, caramel, toast, brown sugar, biscuit, light toffee, light nuttiness, herbal, grass. Fair amount of earthy herbal bitterness on the finish. Well balanced caramel/bready malt, earthy hops, and yeast ester flavors. Main problem is the robustness of flavor, but I enjoyed it.

Awesome stuff, 2013A bottle. Taste of big dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted malt, caramel, toast, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, oak, raisin, prune, and roasty/oaky earthiness. Malt/barrel balance is fantastic. A light bit of roasted bitterness and spicy alcohol on the finish. Very smooth 12% beverage.

Juniper saisons, I am on board. Moderate gusher alert. Excellent! Taste of lemon, pear, apple, juniper, clove, black pepper, hay, straw, grass, herbal, wood smoke, musty funk, and yeast earthiness. This reminds me of Jester King's Viking Metal a lot.

    What up goofballs

I enjoyed a can of La Cumbre's Elevated IPA in the shower earlier and just finished it. Nowhere near fresh, but enjoyable all the same (just on a different plane).

Also, I've been listening to a couple of old Caetano Veloso records. You know it's good music when you listen to something that came out 45 years ago and realize you'd be psyched if it came out today. Caetano's 1969 self-titled album is one of those records. Saude, galera!

    Edit: in case anyone's curious:

Good and bad day. Had some great Poutine with Montreal smoked meat, some great gelato with the kids, and then managed to get crapped on by a seagull. Now back to the hotel to try this. Very nice surprise! Cheers!
