Besides it being awesome if the US wins, it would also hurt a lot of people above me who picked Belgium. Double bonus!

Down to 10 who are undefeated in the Round of 16 LIF. More than 1 person will finish this undefeated at this point.

    If Belgium Wins:
@Lehighace06 (14 differential) and @PA-Michigander (10 differential) will tie. Barring a massive scoring explosion in this last game, @PA-Michigander will win the tie break (current goal differential is 7, total goals 15).

if the USA wins, we'll be looking at a tiebreaker with @mj0126 (10 goal differential) the current favorite unless the differential is greater than 3 in this game. If that's the case then there's a bunch of you that can still win it based on tiebreak but most of you need a scoring explosion to win it at this point.

    Good luck to all!

Penalty shootouts count in the final score and first scorer, correct?

    Final Round of 16 update.

Since Belgium won, final goal differential 8, total goals 18. @PA-Michigander is the winner on tiebreak. Finished undefeated and had a goal differential of 10 which was the lowest.

Send me your info, and I'll get you a box in a few weeks when I get back from vacation.

    Thanks for playing all.

Pretty sure this is one I don't want to win. Can I forward it to someone else? This loss was terrible.

Damn, hell of a match, really thought they might've pulled that one through. Congrats to @PA-Michigander.

    whats your total ESPN rank?
Interesting - you bring up a good point. I'm going to call a penalty shootout as an extension of a tie (you have to call the tie score. The 1st to score point will be awarded if you guess the correct 1st goal scorer of either team.

meaning if you had called 'Benzema' for France and he was the 1st PK taker and made it you get the point even if Germany won the toss and Muller scored the 1st PK ...

WTF?!? Why am I worrying about semantics on giving away free beers when my heart was ripped out by a 92nd minute missed sitter by Chris Wondolowski ...

That being said, I am super proud of this team. We don't (and never did) need Landon Donovan. DeAndre Yedlin and Julian Green showed you what Jurgen and the future of US soccer is all about.

QF mini-BIF entries need to be in before 11AM EST on July 4th!!!

I'm sorry that they're out, what a bummer. Mad props to the USMNT though. Hats off to Howard and the defense. Insanely good game.
