Wow, can't believe I got that one, I had Germany down for a 3-1 win and at the last second changed it to 1-0 and don't even remember why

@heystevec did you put together a spreadsheet of these guesses? Would love to see that so I can track how I'm doing against the group

 

I did, but rather than share I will be doing a standings at the end of each day. You are in the lead (shared with @Rotero24 and @Dave_Treat) with max 4PTS from the 1st match (right result and exact score). The second games sees another center-back with the 1st scorer status which means there will be no 5PT performances today!

 

Man and another super early goal, the other LIF is not looking good for anyone with high numbers (>260 is already eliminated!)

Now if each team can score a goal in the time left, I'll be really on a roll...

So, in the interest of accuracy, it was actually me that had the 10 goal differential and @PA-Michigander that had 14 for his tiebreaker. If you've already sent out a box to @PA-Michigander DO NOT SEND ANOTHER!

I was going through previous pages looking for the start of his LIF's guesses (want to see how I'm doing having picked Germany but with the wrong line score) and noticed this.

So at the halfway point of the quarter-finals we have a clear front runner, a lead pack, and then everyone else. But fear not those that are not up there right now - anything can happen. Just ask all the folks with a Brazil 2 Colombia 0 scoreline and had 3 pts snacthed from under them in an instant ....

Dang, good catch. Must've transposed it on one of those posts. Ah well, since it was so close I had already decided to send both of you a box. Gonna be on vacation til next Friday tho so they'll go out after I get back. :-)

 

HA! That makes it a very easy situation to fix. I'm glad @PA-Michigander is still getting a box, I almost didn't even point it out when I found it because I felt like I was just grubbing. I'll do a LIF for the semi-finals (or finals if it takes me too long to come up with something) since the quarters are half over and end in under 24 hours. Now I gotta get scheming... stay posted BIFers!
