Just got engaged and we definitely want to do a destination wedding in the caribbean or mexico! I was going to try and see if the hotel we decide to do it at would be willing or able to get a keg of craft...has anyone ever done this and if so what are some recommended places that do it, what are the rules and what should i watch out for

Just get married in San Diego. Heck, you could even get married @ Stone.

Congrats, by the way  We're getting married an August, it'll be an all-Wisco craft beer affair.

Congrats! Make it a condition they need to adhere to for you to pick their place.

I believe that Stone distributes to Puerto Rico.

yeah, SD has plenty of beautiful Mediterranean-ish wedding spots up and down the coast. Probably cheaper travel-wise, maybe more expensive to stay there and plan a wedding there, though.

Unless there are specific American beers you want for sentimental reasons, you could always go local. Mexico actually has a strong up-and-coming craft scene. If you're doing any recon in the area prior to the wedding, find your favorite and make sure the venue has it on draft for the event. That way drinking beer becomes 'wedding planning.'

It's pretty standard to sample foods from your caterers to decide what you want served, so it's just fine - your responsibility, even - to try all the beers too!

San Diego is really a great place for a wedding. I've been to two out there. Both were perfect. The quality beer scene is just the kicker.
