Thinking about going after another one of these. Whats it taking to land these nowadays? I'm interested in the comments of people that know of actual trades, not speculators.

    Thanks for the info!

On release I traded a Black Note + sixer of Hopslam for a Damon and Mimosa (past trading partner so YMMV). Also got one in a package deal but more or less 1:1 for '08 Dark Lord.

I forget what I got and traded Luscious for, but probably limited beers, but not as high as Damon.

Traded a Luscious for a Bourbon County Vanilla a few months ago.

Damon is going to be ~3x the bottles next year. Lots more bourbon barrels, red wine, and port barrels.

This is a fine point. I read on their website that Damon was in the barrels again for the next release, I'll bet it's at least a titch easier to come by next time around. At least that's my hope!

Luscious is weird because it was bought up by a lot of locals and sold out quickly, it's really good, and it will probably never be made again or at least replicated because it was partially(?) barrel aged and the original brewing system no longer exists. To balance it's insane rarity no one really seems to care or talk much about it.

it literally makes me uncomfortable when ba's don't go apeshit over some small bottle-count one-off. not sure how to fix it here.

In this case I'd rather drink it than trade it so it works out very well for me, lol

But something is definitely off with this beer. It has whale written all over it.

I offered a Chocolate Rain for a Damon and got flooded with offers, and some people messaged me privately suggesting I was offering far too much.

I would say you are doing yourself a favor by trading for Damon.

    Why was that?

OP - Regarding both Damon & Mimosa, I did this terrific trade. (Choco Rain, Beat + §ucaba) Steve is obviously refreshingly generous/uncynical, but we were both happy.

Consider yourself very lucky. I think that most people would trade their Choc Rain all day long for Damon.

I have no idea, especially because these were people with no vested interest in my trade. I'm simply relaying my experience(s).

I wouldn't. It's an even trade. I just greatly preferred CR to Damon.

I traded quite a bit for my Damons. The first one I just went ridiculous to try one.
