I was just looking up information about it the other day. I didn't realize that they only sent that one to certain states. Might be dumb Texas laws.

 

Maybe because the ABV is too high... those laws are so dumb.

True nature of a BIF Be in a good mood, have a few extra bottles lying around, and put someone else in a good mood as well.

 

As soon as I find about $175 in free money, I have a vertical of this going back to like 2007 on reserve at my bottle shop. It's one of each year's bottle though, so I can send one if find it also on the shelf (not unlikely just not sure).

I did this a couple weeks ago with a local BA @Houser, just cleaning out my fridge of a couple random bottles I had received 2 of... Only, he didn't let me get away with it and in true BIF spirit he ticked a couple wants and gave me a Fifty Fifty Eclipse just for good measure. If any of you guys have a chance to trade with that dude, prepare your porch.

 

I think I've got your first three also, and also agree on your last comment -- I have two senders for those two guys, not sure which is which.

I am confused about exactly where Produce Man City is though...

 

I've been doing that when I buy stuff recently, but saving it for future rounds of our BIF... assuming our next round is more stout-oriented, I have a great collection of "doubles" to pass on...

 

You could also jump into the Stout BIF to get rid of a few of those, there's a couple spots left. Not to take away from this BIF, I think I'm just hoping Round 3 (assuming summer sixer is #2) is not until mid-late fall...

 

mid-fall sounds great to me... and the good thing about stouts is that they keep!!! And thanks, but I'll stick with just this group anyway, since it seems to provide plenty of opportunities.

 

Yes, I have definitely been sacking away a few beers for our next round of the BIF as well. It's a hell of a lot easier dropping $12 here and $18 there for some awesome bottles over the course of a few weeks then going out and spending $130+ all at one time. I've got a separate box in my crawl space labeled as "BIF Beer" and just casually add to it. So that box is going to one of you guys! Hopefully around mid-late October.

 

True story, I dove into the deep end and joined like 6 BIFs at once when I started, I'm glad most of them had a predetermined time frame (the NFL draft, NBA finals, etc) ... I'm down to just this one and SWTFYW on an ongoing basis, and since I love style-specific ones, I joined the Stout one and plan to start my own Saison BIF in a couple months (to follow up the Barleywine BIF that was my first). Two style specific and two on-going "come and go as you please, there will be something happening" BIFs I think I can handle.

That sounds perfect for me, the Stout one is an August ship date, then October for Locals 3, and then maybe I'll do Saisons in December (I originally had planned on August/Sept but I think it'll be good to spread them out a bit more)

 

@Lehighace06 @hansenm72 definitely offered to hook me up. I told him not to send me anything. Told him that if he saw some NG Oud Bruin hold onto it so we could hang out some time for a bottle share. He was def more than willing to hit me back but I wouldn't let him.

Yeah it's a little harder to prevent when it's in person... "no you can't have my address" is much easier than "no I don't want those beers that are in your hand" ... the latter just seems rude.

Received a Delivery Notice from UPS a couple hours ago! Unfortunately I won't be home for another 8 hours or so and hopefully am still awake enough at that time to post some beer ****!
