BB26 currently tapped, Sweet 16 isnt.

 

It's actually a keg of Black Butte 24, I haven't brought in 26 yet. Just cashed the Lenny's RIPA so sweet 16 will be flowing tomorrow for sure.

 

I thought it tasted a different than the 26 I had last week at the brewery Was going to chalk it up to having a number of beers since then.

Also, Sweet 16 just went on tap. I promise I won't drink it all. Have to wrap up a pour of Road Warrior first. Tough life.

 

And yeah, evidently I should really learn to look at roman numerals better, because you clearly said it was XXIV above, not XXVI.

Indeed - Mexican Honey, Shenanigans, Pale Lager, Daytripper (firkin), Midnight Ryder. Fulton - Designated Bitter, Maitresse, Sweet Child of Vine, Ringer (firkin), Lonely Blonde.

 

Steel Toe is tapping 2012 BA Wee Heavy tonight

 

That's a hell of a lineup, but still not sure it's enough to get me that close to Target Field during the All-Star Game.

 

SN Beer Camp is July 17 @ 3 Squares @ 5 pm. 12 collaboration beers.

Buffalo Tap in Savage has Even More Jesus on tap. Brick's in Blaine has Footprint and Pentagram on.

 

The Smack Shack event is this Sunday, not next Tuesday during the ASG.

 

We are also doing a very similar line-up as smack shack, but ours actually is on Tuesday, albeit a little bit farther from target field. We Open at 3pm, join us if you want to brave the madness of the ASG in the name of great beer!

Went to the Sisyphus grand opening today. The taproom has a nice feel; industrial, open, okay music, friendly staff. The theater hasn't been built yet so it'll be interesting to see how that turns out. The beer selection was respectable but nothing crazy. Brett and the Coffee Black Ale were the standouts. I'm curious to see what else comes into the rotation over time. I also like that everything is unfiltered.

Kentucky Common - kinda meh. Nutty with a decent spice to it. Dull color and an interesting nose (almost meaty). I haven't had many of this style or many steam beers for that matter, so I may not be the best judge...

Oatmeal Pale Ale - Nice hop profile, but not in-your-face west coast style. Very well-balanced. The oatmeal is hidden in the aftertaste though, would love to see that more prominently.

Brett IPA - Funky, but more so in taste than on the nose. Fruity, balanced, hops are present but not overpowering, nice malt profile. Commendable.

Black Ale w/ Coffee - They are actually pouring coffee into it as they serve it so I tried it straight first. Great roast and almost has a coffee-ish quality to it already. With coffee it's divine. It's a little thin, but well-rounded in flavor. If it were served at room temp it would be perfect.

Overall, I'd say this place is pretty solid. I definitely am excited to see what else they do and where they go from here. I wish them luck!

 

2013 Bourbon County Stout just tapped at Haute Dish.

 

Kbs still on at Bar Abilene. $12 for 12oz. A bit steep, but sometimes you gotta bite the bullet.

 

How is it tasting? KBS was quite lacking at the NE Bulldog the other day.

I'd pay that if it's back to its usual self!
