BYOB my ass

    My rant. Anyone who knows me from this forum knows I tend to be a pretty selfless and a decent BA. That said, can anyone relate? Last weekend I had a BBQ and let all friends & family know that it was BYOB because they've all made it abundantly clear that they do not like my 'funky' beers. After everyone got good and hammered & ran out of their Buds & Coors Lights, etc they decided to attack my stash of IIPA's & IPA's that up until that time they poo-poo-ed as bitter, harsh, etc. I've taken great pains(not to mention $$) to stock my summer fridge with my favorite (and sometimes hard to find) summer beers and it just pisses me off that after my guests get good and hammered they feel that my 'funky' beers are all of a sudden 'decent' & free game. Guess I should have kept my stash someplace other than the fridge on the deck. Go ahead, and call the 'whambulance' for me but I'm f$cking pissed. Time to have a bake sale so I can restock. End. Of. Rant!

    I do the same in the opposite sense. I bring a six pack of whatever beer I like, finish it, and proceed to attack the light beer. Usually at that point the beer is making most of my decisions.

    That my friend is a phucked situation. I know where you're coming from. I would be pissed as well especially since it were a BYOB BBQ. Next time you have a cook out, don't offer any BYOB instead offer them Pop.

    I mean, aren't these your friends? If you're not willing to share it, hide it! I really can't relate. My last party had my friends bringing so much beer I ended up with more than I started with. I had to bring the leftover shit to my sister-in-law's July 4th BBQ just to get rid of it!

    That's definitely not possible, although the friends at this particular party were not my 30 pack BMC crew. However, I did have those guys over recently too...they drink 30 they'd know to bring 60!
