    20-25.
I actually keep track, old School pen and paper in a "monthly planner" folder. Fun to look at as the months and seasons pass...over a beer, of course.

Depends on strength. I aim for 840 ABV-oz/week. Probably closer to a 1000 lately. Don't go to grad school.

Depends. Several factors - which are largely identifiable.

Was the boss a real twit that week? ~ 12
Was the girlfriend more whiney than usual? ~20
Were they BOTH more whiney than usual? I lost count!

See... it depends. (Thank goodness there's BEER!)

I drink around 2 to 3 every week night. Then counting goes out the window Friday and Saturday.

To break it down I drink tons of craft beer and like trying all the new beer that comes out. To do that you have to drink 2 to 3 a night.

On the weekends I will go with local breweries ( houston Texas). And bring a 12 pack of cans to a party or something like that. Don't want to be drinking bcbs all night ....ya know.

So bare minimum 20 beers a week and on average I would say 30.

Probably more than I should! It's tough when there's so many good ones to be had.

    trick question

bombers vs. 12ish fl. oz could dramatically change all of these answers... or are we counting a bomber per fl. oz where 12 means you drank 1 beer? or maybe just distinct beers regardless of volume?

i normally take 1 or 2 dry nights per week; mellow nights 2-3, drinking nights 4-7, weekends 7+

but again: what are we calling "a beer?"

Probably ten more per week than my initial post in this aging thread, so a greater number, but overall I'm drinking beer that's less alcoholic. Lots of 4-5% ABVs.

Depends on how we quantify that number. The other night at dinner I had 4 oz samples of 3 different beers. Does that constitute 3 beers? or just the 1 12 oz beer for that night?

I would say I have 10-15 beers per week rarely more than 15 unless I'm on vacation or something. Try to limit it to no more than 2 on a weeknight. I'm not one for sitting and drinking a 6 pack I like to try a variety of beers.

Which brings me to a topic I was thinking about starting a thread about: I seem to gravitate towards getting samples/flights to try even greater varieties of beer rather than just having a pint or 3 of the same beer. What does everyone else prefer? For home I like to build mixers and buy individuals rather than an entire 4 or 6 pack. Are the rest of you the same way? Or do you gravitate to the same stuff?

There's my beers, beers given to me by brewers and vendors, and beers shared with me by friends.
    So, say 30 overall. Reasonable.
As long as we are also not counting the whisk(e)ys, bourbons, cordials, wines, gins, RTDs....

Variety is the spice of life. I rarely drink the same beer back-to-back, unless I find myself in a (rare) situation where one particular beer is clearly my best option for the night.

I used to buy lots of mix-sixers. The problem is that's the most-time-consuming and least-cost-effective way to buy beer. So now what I tend to do is buy a couple cases/kegs of things I love (1 case of IPA at a time, for freshness, with a couple cases/kegs of things like Stouts/Porters/Belgians that I know can sit around for months at a time and still be enjoyable), such that I have 5-6 different beers at home, bought-in-bulk for cost savings, at any one time... and then supplement that with the occassional mix-6er/bomber/4-pack to add a little extra variety. My general strategy though is to try new beers at the bar, where all beer is expensive, and (mostly) buy beer I've already tried at the bar and know I like, in bulk, for in-home consumption.

It also takes a lot of time at the bottle shop to continually replenish your shelves with "new beer that you haven't had yet". Once I had kids, I found myself with both less time and less money to allocate to bottle-shop-mix-and-match. I simplified/streamlined things, out of necessity...

Yeah, I did this for my haul over the last couple days:

4 Pack of Founders Double Trouble
4 Pack of Founder's Breakfast(a local bottle shop still has been receiving it so I have been buying it  )
    6 Pack of Zombie Dust
    Bomber of Apocalypse Cow
    Bomber of Dreadnaught

Pretty good little haul if I say so myself!
