I have been stalking some wants from some of you guys and I know I'll be able to hit a few from what I've seen(maybe even a non stout or two as a toss in)Not everyone has updated/made their wants so just a reminder to do that. Just gimme my target so I can go shopping!

Ok I hear what you guys are saying. And trust me, I know what it takes to try and trade for most of the aforementioned list and I wouldn't want that many people to have to go to work on them. I just figured if a few people were holding any of the items I threw out there (totally spaced on including sought-after HF stouts btw), and I could get some folks to commit to sending them, it would spice things up a bit. No hard feelings if it doesn't work out as I envisioned.

    Cheers

Note to @dsigmon - if I'm you're target, please keep your Backyard Rye as I've had it.
Note to everyone else - I can't get enough Backyard Rye, so please send me some

HF makes stouts??? I've had only a couple of their beers, and as Everett is one of them, consider me ISO!

and by the way, if it doesn't work out as you envisioned, feel free to send a BA Abraxas anyway

I just had a Prop and was severely let down. I would have rather had a Bomb or Mexi Cake or anything else pretty much haha. So my thoughts is if I trade this one off I won't be let down and I will also make someone else's box a little better haha.

After I hit my stout mark I'm throwing all kinds of other extras that will help crush my targets porch......does anyone like RR?

Can't hit any of those whales, wish I could. I see some awesome alternatives being mentioned, and promise to do my best as well. Can't wait to get a target and start hitting wants!

Just wanted to get clarification on something. The OP stated that the beers had to be designated as a Stout on BA. Does a Porter fit? I'm assuming it would but just wanted to get confirmation. I will probably be over the 144oz minimum on BA designated Stouts anyway so they could technically be considered an 'extra' at that point.

Based on the rules on the first page:

    • Beers must be listed on Beer Advocate as a Stout, American Stout, Russian Imperial Stout, etc..
Since the Porter is a separate listing and a completely different beer style, I'd assume no a porter wouldn't fit. However, as you have stated you'd be over the min anyway, then it's not a big deal.

If I'm wrong please let me know as I've not even considered adding a porter at this point except as a possible extra hah. I know myself, I highly prefer stouts over porters so that's where my mind went when the question was posed.

This was my impression as well, in getting to your minimum, porters/imperial porters do not count. I have a hunch though that no one will have a hard time hitting the minimum with stouts and a good porter would be gladly accepted.

Personally, I think I'm going to go with nothing but stouts in my box unless I can easily hit some wants, but with so many great stouts out there it shouldn't be too hard to crush a porch with nothing but stouts, but that's just my box.

This old man would love to get in on this if you would have me! I have not been in a BIF before or traded here, but I have done IP trades, have won a LIF and I am in the process of finishing out my own small LIF when I get some addresses.

I absolutely love stouts and can do the 144 oz now.........but who would wants to stop there.

I am newer to cellaring/collecting, so none of the whalez mentioned earlier but I have a lot of tasty fish! I have a great knack for finding things I want to. :grinning:

I saw your check-in... dude, you need to try another bottle if you can. The one I had was absolutely delicious. BCBS + Coconut it was like drinking a bourbon soaked almond joy - except better. Way better.
But hey - if you really didn't like it and you get another one - you have my address right? jk...
