If you dont want to sift through for the important part:

    2014 variants will be
    Coffee
    Vanilla
Proprietors, which this year is chocolate, Cassia (cinnamon), mexican sugar

There is also another mention of Rare 2.0, which sounds like it still is a ways off.

Interesting that there apparently won't be a fruited variant this year.

Way to ruin what could have been months of speculation and fun / interesting conversation. That Prop does sound pretty amazing.

So, I'm guessing it's safe to assume that the Coffee will be 12oz/4packs and 22oz bombers of Vanilla and Prop?

You buried the lede, Schaerbeek cherries in Madame Rose and 4-packs of an imperial stout with licorice also

All the former interns and low ranking employees who had to clean out the tanks after the last run of vanilla must have moved up or out by now, meaning new people to address the mess....

...either that or the have sold out and gone the extract route

I know you're joking, but before the neckbeards pick up and run with it

“Expense be spared – we don’t care what the stuff costs. We’re going to pick the best stuff.”

In the end, they preferred the flavor of Mexican and Madagascar vanilla beans, $50,000 worth of which are “on the premises”, he lightly boasted.

i recently experimented with BCBS and vanilla beans. it turned out really really well but at $3 per bean its not something id do often. i see why BCBVS was so pricey and likely will be again.

Not trying to be a smart ass but I'm almost positive vanilla beans are actually the fruit of a flower and not a bean. Anyways I'm more surprised these aren't in rye whiskey barrels.

I like to use los cinco soles vanilla in my bcbs rather than vanilla beans the price is better and it deliveres the flavor right away without compromising the beers carbonation. Its really high quality extract and only 8% abv. Makes ridiculously good cookies too. http://www.loscincosoles.com/products/vanilla

Now that I know they are making this when I get some I'm gonna do a side by side and see how much of a difference it actually makes. I used too much in another regular stout one time and it was like creme brulee so there's no question in my mind that I can match the level of vanilla flavor in the new bcbvs.

Neckbeards huh? I didn't realize Kyle Orton still had a following in the greater Chicagland area.

ive tried it with extract before and wasnt impressed, maybe a higher quality extract is the answer. i havent had any issues with carbonation yet because i have a couple of 16oz swingtop growlers that do the job pretty well. i will likely try a better extract though once my vanilla beans are gone.

If you leave right now, you'll probably still be too far back in line to get any.
