NBO: World Cup BIF

Thinking we should start seeing a few hauls soon. My round of 16 LIF box should be landing at @Lehighace06 door tomorrow as well as the box for @CRon_T. Fun boxes to put together! Really enjoyed this BIF, kept my interest level much higher than it would have been otherwise once the Americans were knocked out.

 

Looking forward to that box! (though my wife definitely is not...)

I agree, I was into it from minute one till the end of the final, and I've never watched soccer for more than 5 minutes at a time. I finally got a buddy to explain "what's going on" during a match (before, to me, it looked like a bunch of guys just chasing the ball back and forth, I couldn't 'see' the strategy on the field at all) and between greater understanding, and beer on the line, I'm now kinda hooked.

My LIF box will be delayed a bit by recipient request, and (with my apologies) my winner's box will probably go out at the same time, but I think my target knows I'm good for it, and his (assumed) patience will be rewarded.

Way to take the lead @billhelm! Makes me reconsider what I am putting in his box... Wow there are some fantastic beers there. Cameron I hope you have some friends down there in Florida, your fridge is going to be full for a long time, and rightfully so.

Yup I too can attest to the fact that @billhelm puts together fantastic boxes that would survive an A-bomb detonation with his killer packaging!

 

A little **** from a happy hour bottle share I had today, already putting @billhelm's Thumbprint Apple Ale to good use (ok, it's one I had in the fridge from a trade a while back, but I put the new one in it's spot...) always happy to be able to include my wife in shares, since most of her involvement is making IPA face at me.



And then a little food **** for those that care:
German sauerkraut with bacon in the back, spaetzle with fried onions in the fore, and off to the side is a mix of bratwurst (boiled in home brew Belgian Pale Ale), knockwurst, bockwurst, and kielbasa. Also served was some chunky applesauce and Weihenstephaner Hefe for all parties involved.

I've seen that IPA Face before. Glad I could oblige. And that Furious was about as fresh as they get in a post self-distro world, canned 2 or 3 weeks ago. Total Wine just came into our market and their stuff is fresh as can be. (I'm sure they sell a ton of it, but you can also take your pick from the cooler which is conveniently dated with marker on the side of the flats).

 

No problem on the freshness there, I'm actually really glad it's as fresh as it is (and the other Surly's too) - the same day I got your box I was opening my first ever Furious and it was almost 4 months old, still not a bad beer but I could tell it had fallen off quite a bit. Looking forward to the trio and re-rating that one.
