Can't say I've ever had the opportunity to try one so I have no favorites. Can you offer some pointers as to where one might find those such as your favorites on offer that they might be tried?

It's a bit tricky. I know there are some commercial ones. But you try searching for AK in the beer database here.

please elaborate. clearly you are posting on a subject on which many of us are totally ignorant. Martin's article seems thoughtful and well researched to the lay person.

I do believe there are none listed in the database? Where did you have your favorites? If there are no commercial examples I'll probably not be able to find one here or in the UK.

Edit: Your examples are not commercially available?

Martin is a great bloke, diligent researcher, skilled writer. His article is a good one, with the exception of his explanation of the origin of AK. And I'm not so sure about AK being lightly hopped. Compared to Pale Ale or IPA of the time, perhaps. Then again, Fuller's AK was parti-gyled with their PA and XLK so had the same rate of hopping if you take gravity into account.

I'm sure someone makes one commercially.

Amongst home brewers they're very popular. I've had more positive feedback about AK recipes than any others. Weird, eh? With particular praise for the effect of 15% flaked corn in the grist.

Not to be rude, but did you expect many others to have a top three or where you aware that most people on this board can't buy even one anywhere near where they live?

So what is the origin of AK that he got wrong?

It's the same for me with the top three IPAs.

Really? That's a bit odd given the variety of IPAs available in Amsterdam. I know De Bierkoning had some in stock on my last visit. You might try there.
