Received my summer 6'er from @justanewby. This was an interesting twist as he was my target in the first round.

All I can say is that he nailed it. 5 of the 6 bottles were on my want list and I couldn't have picked a better 5 wants to send. Very happy with this box. Now on to the juicy part....



Weyerbacher Insanity oak barrel age ale (want!)

Had the Double Duckpin last night with my family for my mom's birthday. Everyone was super impressed. Was a great beer. Though now I have an empty growler....Hmmmmm.

 

There's a package out for delivery in Ohio...

 

I'm convinced if they did 16oz cans of this it would blow up!

If anyone wants to try Double Duckpin just let me know and we can get something together! It's normally only around about 5 months of the year

 

I'm not sure if the recipient is watching this thread anyway, but there is a (very late) package out for delivery in Michigan

 

I shipped my box this morning. I was unable to track down the beer that I wanted to get a growler fill of so I replaced that spot in the box with a great local beer that is on my target's want list. Box is scheduled to land on Friday.

HINT: Too bad he isn't getting it today to help with that 90 degree high temp that they are expecting. Unfortunately the forecasted high on Saturday is a low 80 degrees with a 30% chance of rain. But that may feel warm as the highs are going to drop into the 70's after the weekend.

The box contains 110oz with an average rating of 94.33. Five of the six bottles are wants and the sixth bottle is a nice local in the requested style. Two of the beers are non-locals that are on my target's want list.

 

I have been checking when I can get service. My brother in law is going to open it and take pictures. If I can post them I will.

 

OK -- I am very interested in seeing what's in there (I realize not quite as much as you, but I think a bunch of us feel we have a vested interest in this). And I want to see how close he comes to what he originally said he was shipping.

 

If I can't get a picture to load I can hopefully get a list posted. The service at the rental is awful though.

 

I'm still waiting for it to be a 12pack of tallboys...

 

Hey dudes, posted an IP thread yesterday looking for a FW 15 and didn't get any responses so I thought I'd bring it to the group first before posting a broad search. Anyway, just looking to see if any of you guys happened to be sitting on a FW 15 anniversary bottle and looking to trade.

So I think that means everyone will have shipped, and everyone has an expected delivery date by Friday? And it also means that depending on exactly when everybody gets around to it, we MIGHT have the entire second round done before the first concludes

 

We have bomb impact in Cincinnati from a south eastern direction and a target that I foolishly eliminated as a potential target. I think the work hint threw me off if I remember as I saw you did a lot of work in Minneapolis. Either way pic to follow...

 

As I was working in my home office I was interrupted by a ring of the door bell followed by my two pitbull mix pups sprinting and barking at the door as if we were in some sort of trouble. Little did they know only the porch was in danger...

Wicked Weed Serenity (had this at GABF where it won gold and traded for two bottles as soon as I could get my hands on it. Now they are triplets which means it is time to open one)
Wicked Weed Bretticent (This one is new to me however everything I have tried from Wicked Weed has been outrageously good so I do not think this will disappoint)
New Glarus Serendipity (Although any of the NG Fruits are awesome this is probably my and the wifes favorite permawant)
New Glarus Belgian Red (Cherry explosion probably my 2nd favorite widely available NG Fruit)
Foothills Seeing Double (A nice Dipa. Enjoy this one)
Commons Trillium Beet Je Series (Another one that is completely new to me however this time a completely new brewery to me. I am probably most excited because of the newness and the fact that it only has 2 BA ratings.)

@treznor kills it in his debut and although he completely missed the first round, he still beats our faithful leader in dropping his first bomb in the locals. I think this guy is a true contender and hope to see other porches in this group decimated by this Carolinian. Cheers!
