Autumn Maple is the best pumpkin beer ever.

I was aware of that. Sweet potatoes really, not yams. But sweet potatoes do have a very similar flavor to roasted pumpkin, only sweeter. Believe it or not Autumn Maple is in the same style category as pumpkin beers.

You guys are all behind. I already picked up a 2014 variant at some grocery store. It was a Bourbon County Barleywine 4-pack with green labels. Last one on the shelf though.

I have heard one of this years varients wil be a version aged in barrels made of old used Nano pets and Ipods on a bed of Tickle me Elmo, Cabage Patch Kids, and Zhu Zhu pets fir. This will no doubt end in chaos. Get in line now.

My bad, man. I read the distributor page release list wrong. It actually said "Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin". Haha.

I know. Just every time I hear yams, I can't help but think Okonkwo from Things Fall Apart. The man cared only for his yams.

The bottle I had said Yams and I love Yams. Tried a sweet potato once and I wasn't a fan.

So @Vav, inquiring minds want to know: any specifics about your store's release this year following your Goose meeting?

I think we should leave @Vav alone guys. Hard to believe people who will wait in line all night long for beer are this impatient. He will tell us all we need to know when the time comes.

This. I was able to snag a 4-pack of bcbs from my favorite Chicago liquor store on the Friday one week before BF last year. I just asked, and they pulled one out of the store room for me. I don't think that release date is very firm at all.

I heard this year they are doing a Christmas release! :stuck_out_tongue:

The anticipation though; it's like seeing a teaser before seeing the movie. But yeah, @Vav probably doesn't need the annoyance.

For those not in Chicago there is a Black Friday event in Indianapolis, albeit not nearly as large as the one in Chicago.

Last year Kahns Fine Wines had their own Black Friday from 9:00am to 10:30am. The line started at 4:30am and we had 100 customers outside the store before we opened (and everyone was given a number). Everyone got samples of the new releases, there wasn't a limit on regular Bourbon County, and when your number was called you'd come up to the front to pick out your "allocation" of the limited bottles that remained. Feedback was highly positive.

Nothing too interesting yet, just a preliminary meeting.
