On Tap in the Twin Cities - July Edition

That was my best guess. Dogfish Head hasn't been distributed to Minnesota since the early 2000's (03, 04). You used to be able to get them in Wisconsin, but then they pulled out of there too. They may have come back into the Wisconsin market recently though, but I'm not sure.

 

They are back in Wisconsin, and I believe Casanova may get WW Stout from time to time. I snagged some in Madison a few months back.

 

They had some in Stevens Point when we went to the Central Waters 16 release.

That's probably a good price for it per ounce compared to the bottle price, but I wouldn't bite on it. A whole growlers of World Wide Stout seems like a recipe for disaster unless you sharing it with ten other people.

Yes. It was pretty kick ass on tap - I only had a glass.
They didn't have any bottles at the time.

You can get a bottle of 120 Minute in the restaurant right now; it'll only set you back $18

Edit: They've got cases of 60 Minute right now by the door, and in the cooler.

Been a tediously slow month for finds, but I just stopped at Gold Nugget and they have on Enki's Anno. Nothing to travel for, but for the West Metro crowd, this guy really knows his way around a chocolate / roasted malt beer. Great Dunkelweizen!

Next 3 Sundays I've got some tap takeover action going on.

Sunday 7/27 - Ommegang line-up (like most of their flagship and seasonals) + BID 2014 IPA to finish off Belgian independence week.

Sunday 8/03 - Odell Tap Take over... We're looking to break the world record for Odells on tap, so were going for 27 taps, might have a full 30. I will post the full lineup as soon as it's finalized, but it is stocked with just about every rare and specialty release from the last year, plus some fun tap room goodies you'll have to come in to check out. I'm personally super excited for this one.

Sunday 8/10 - Sierra Nevada Beer Camp Across America!!! Full 12 tap takeover, we will be serving 3 flights of 4 beers, showcasing the West coast, Midwest, and East coast collaborations.

All events begin at 3pm, hope to see y'all.

So I bought a 4-pack of of Double Trouble and am absolutely loving it. Better than I ever remember it being in previous years. Wondering if anyone had seen it on tap around, would like to compare the two.

I agree, this year's batch seems better than previous. And more plentiful too, have seen it on the shelf all over town.

I feel like it was on tap at Butcher & the Boar when I was there last Friday, but I could be mistaken. Worth a call, anyway.

 

It's on at Grumpys NE and Republic Uptown. 331 Club is tapping one tonight, Bryant Lake Bowl on Sunday.
