$4$ traders, you might as well leave now...

Is there anyone else out there who just likes the thrill of setting up a trade? Nothing is better than some intense negotiation and 'winning the trade'. Send me a BM and we can knock out some imaginary trades. I'm up for anything - trades with bottles we have, trades with bottles we wish we had, trades with imaginary bottles. (That's right, lets trade some 2001 Thomas Hardy's for Raging Ruby) As long as the negotiation is fierce, I'm up for it. I don't want to give away all my secrets, but if you live in a rural area and cost me a remote area surcharge, it WILL be factored in...

First it was extreme sports. Then extreme walking (anyone remember Soaps??). Then extreme couponing. Now it's extreme hypothetical beer trading. I can only imagine what's next...

It was either this, or 'Name some cities you only know about because of shipping beer'

Parsippany, NJ (UPS shippers know what I'm talking about...)

I'll set up a ladder ranking.

I'd love to see someone bring a King Henry and try to sell it. But they're not sure what it's worth so they have to call in an expert. I wonder who it would be...

and that topic definitely can't be covered in a half hour time slot.

I have a 6-bottle shipper I can fill with the following..... just looking for the 'best' reasonable offer.

    KH (Up to 6)
    B5 (Up to 6)
    BCBVS (up to 6)
    Locals.

    Let me know!

I'm offering up a Peche 'N Brett which, at only 420 cases released, is very rare. Since it's a rare peach beer, I'm thinking an old over-the-hill bottle of Yellow Bus. I might throw in a Cascade Apricot because I'm a nice guy, but you'd better hit me up with extras.

I don't know...shipping to the Pacific NW is kind of annoying. And I've got a couple friends who can easily hook me up with the Peche 'N Brett, so Yellow Bus is out of the question. I see you've got some Bruery stuff on your Wants, and even though they're one-offs, I can help you out. I'll definitely hook you up with extras though, but I don't want to give away the surprise... So I think this is where we're at:

    2 x Peche 'N Brett
    Cascade Apricot
    -
2 x Salt of the Earth

You've probably got some Adam from the Wood, right? Two of those for an Old Richland seems fair, but I'll settle for just one.

Do you have more Salt of the Earth for trade? I can offer bottles of water, a hammer and some nails, old Sega Genesis games, a broken broom, my pet cat, etc. Message me, I'm sure I have something that will tickle your trade fancy!

I actually just got a better offer from someone for Salt of the Earth, so I can only do one bottle now. I'll replace with the Old Richland that I mentioned. I think it's better than Salt of the Earth, so maybe you throw that AftW in on your end and we'll call it even.

    2 x Peche 'N Brett
    Cascade Apricot
    Adam from the Wood
    -
    Salt of the Earth
    Old Richland

Still a pretty small box for the high shipping to Oregon. Got any Upright? And I'm totally gonna drown you in extras, I swear!

Salt of the Earth? I'm insulted. Portland is already the land of fantastic Gose beers, so you're clearly overvaluing. Plus, you're from Indiana, so you should be thankful for anything you can get from the hoarders of Oregon. Which I am. I have to fight those guys off. And you don't even have any wants, so you're clearly a newbie. Which means you're clearly in among the crowd who doesn't know the true value of beers. But I'm a good trader and not new to this, so you'll have to trust my judgment.

1x Adam FtW (which was a 60 case release brewery only) for 2x Rare. Normally I'd ask for 3 seeing as the bottle counts are off by a factor of 10 in my favor and Rare is still on shelves in rural Kentucky which is right next to Indiana, but you're new, so I'll be generous. However, I'm going to expect those 2x bottles of Salt of the Earth as an apology for insulting my previous offer. I don't like being insulted in trade negotiations.

Oh, and I see you're near Three Floyds because everything on the East Coast is like 10 miles apart. If you could pick me up a case of Zombie Dust, I can find some Mirror Mirror 2009 and Abyss 2009 to make it worth your while. 2 bottles each, but only because it's so expensive to ship a case of Zombie Dust.

You're driving a hard bargain, but I already went shopping for extras, so I'll try to make this one work out. You missed my last BM about ehammond really needing a Salt of the Earth, but I'll throw in one bottle if you'll stop getting your panties in a bunch. Adam FtW 1:1 with Rare I can do, but we both know I'm being super-generous here and I'll start a thread about it in Trading:General if I have to.

I can do half a case of Zombie Dust - pretty sure it's fresh, but there's a really small possibility of it being from the first bottling. I know they're probably infected, but one each of 2009 Mirror Mirror and Abyss work for me - there's a new Indianapolis trader who will trade me some fresh Hill Farmstead for them.

I see that you've done a lot of trades, but an awful lot of in-person ones recently. Makes me kind of nervous. And I checked some of your references and they said your packaging was 'less-than-perfect'. So if you'd ship first, that would be great. I'll toss in a few more extras for the trouble, in addition to the ones I already shopped for. Here's my address - I'll be waiting. And don't forget about the Upright!
