1 Oatmeal Stout From All 50 States

    First time posting a thread, so we will see how this goes... Anyway, I really enjoy Oatmeal Stouts and I would like to attempt to sample & review an Oatmeal Stout from all 50 States. I'm not sure if this is possible for all 50 States, but I would be willing to substitute a Coffee Stout, or Traditional Stout where it is unlikely to find a Bottled, or Canned Oatmeal Stout. Any help would be greatly appreciated and please let me know if you like to help. I will be keeping notes along the way and update my progress. Thanks.

    Alaskan Brewing Company's Stout is an oatmeal stout. Pretty sure they distro to your neighborhood. So there's Alaska for you.

    Also, gotta agree with missigsfan, can't go wrong with ninkasi's oatis and Elysian's Dragonstooth.

    Actually a 2 for 1 oatmeal/milk stout but really good.​

    I really liked Troegs Java Head Stout. I'm Originally from PA. Had Bell's Kalamazoo Stout, didn't like it too much. My brother still lives in PA and I will get him to send me a Bell's Oatmeal Stout & another Troegs(didn't take notes the first time he send it, but I remember liking it far more than Bell's Kalamazoo Stout), along with a Southern Tier Oat. I am trying to trade for a Ninkasi Oatis. I would also like to trade for an Elysian Dragonstooth. Thanks for the advice.

    Sounds excellent. Went to their website and couldn't find if they distribute to Pennsylvania. My brother lives there and is my source for great East Coast Beers that don't make it to Colorado. Thanks for the suggestion.

    They do bottle, although in retrospect they do an Oatmeal Porter, not a Stout. That being said, if you're interested I may be coming out to Colorado in mid-late August...

    Looks Interesting. I will have to check on their distribution. My wife has family in Wisconsin and maybe they can pick me up a bottle, or two. Thanks.

    Three Floyds BackMasking - Indiana. Pretty tasty stuff, not sure how often its brewed but a batch just went through a couple months ago, might still be able to snag a bottle from somebody

    they do have limited distribution to pennsylvania. Hopefully your brother can locate some.

    Might need to take a Road Trip to Michigan. Love Founders, I've had FBS, IS, & KBS, but I need to try their Oatmeal Stout on tap. Also, New Holland's The Poet has been on my Wants list for quite a while, which reminds me maybe I should put that beer on my BA Wants also.
