    Morning BA! I miss you guys. I haven't been posting in forever because I got a full time job as a mechanic at the Army National Guard base. The only thing that sucks is that I stay on base during the weekend and go home on the weekend. Eventually my wife and I will get to move closer. I fix everything from humvees to abrams tanks. Besides, I need to let my liver to recover from last weekend at Rockfest in Cadott, WI. I drank so much Furious, 8-Bit, 60 min, 90 min, and Two Hearted

    Cheers!

    I don't know about you all, but for me, this thread is much more interesting when it is actually pictures of what beer people are drinking now, as in they are consuming it during, or just finished it before, the post. Obviously people can do what they want, but it always makes me smile when I'm at work or whatever and I can look at a picture and know that right now, at this moment, a craft enthusiast is enjoying themselves. When it becomes "what beer were you drinking at some point in the last day or two and want to brag about," the whole thread kind of loses it's mojo. I don't know, maybe this is just me. I guess it's not really that big of a deal, as long as people are enjoying beer at some point.

    Agree mostly, unless you're in a cool place/situation (like camping) where you can't upload photos.

    Totally get what you're saying, but for some of us it's just not possible. I, personally, would rather see "what people are drinking" in general, not necessarily right now. If I could only post while I was drinking I would a) never post on this thread, or b) never enjoy what I was drinking. It's basically all I can do to even bother taking a picture before diving in. I certainly don't want to take the time to get up off the coach (which I finally got to sit on), upload to imgur, find this thread, post up, then crawl back to my precious couch. I think those of us with full time jobs and small children have earned the right to enjoy their nightcap and post to the thread at their leisure.

    That being said, I am NOT drinking this right now:

    Indy! I don't want this to sound too weird, or insensitive, but whenever I see a dog who's gone through what Indy's gone through, I think they're kind of bad-ass.

    Well, there's a little background required before I post this morning's beer. Two nights ago, I underestimated my age by about a decade and had a little bottle share. Much great beer was consumed, and my evening ended with me puking in the bushes and sleeping in the back of my car (an organization of verb-noun for which I am very thankful).

    As such, there was no WBAYDN? for me yesterday; I was drinking water and pairing it with acetaminophen.

    Some pics and highlights (not of yesterday):

    [IMG]
    Heady Topper. This was the pre-game.

    [IMG]
    Carton Boat. Actually more pre-game. Quite good.

    [IMG]
    Treehouse Eureka, the first official share of the evening. This was a very interesting beer. It was followed up by Toppling Goliath pseudo sue, which was also delicious (a Citra-hopped APA? Yep, tastes like most other Citra-hopped APAs, it turns out). I took a picture, but it did not turn out well.

    [IMG]
    Hill Farmstead Peleg. This was delicious and tart. We had no idea what to expect, but it was universally agreed that this was the real standout of the night.

    [IMG]
    Next, we did a side-by-side of Oude Gueuze Tilquin a l'Ancienne (left) and Drie Fonteinen Golden Doesjel. Cold, it wasn't even close; 3F by a mile and a half. As they warmed, though, the slight skunk (that I have gotten every time from Tilquin) faded significantly, and the 3F receded a little toward the center. 3F still was the hands down winner, but the gap wasn't nearly as large as we had all originally thought.

    [IMG]
    Next up: the Bruery's The Wanderer. I actually really like this pic, even though it's dark. This was a fantastic, tart and juicy sour. I also got a bunch of oak, and for the life of me, a hint of whiskey, although I'm not sure that's an accurate labeling of the flavor.

    [IMG]
    Finally, a pic of some of the damage done. Six beers shared by three people; two 750s, and some high ABV stuff. That doesn't count the individual Heady Topper(s) (pre- and post- game, which was probably my downfall) and the Carton Boat thrown on top.

    //

    So, here's all the beer I drank yesterday:

    //

    And now, it's time for a breakfast beer, and what is likely my last hotel beer this trip:

    [IMG]
    Prairie/Evil Twin Bible Belt

    This is only my second go-round with Bible Belt. It's a little bit different than Bomb this time, but still very, very similar. Same level of quality, too; delicious beer.

    Now it's time for a long break for the day; I may be back late this evening, if at all.

    Cheers, BAs! Throw your horns in the air!!! \m/
