I actually did go. I thought it was a decent beer. Ended up having 2. Definitely got the vanilla and cacao with the vanilla being more prevalent than in regular Cacao Bender. The chilies brought a nice heat, not as hot as Dumpster Fire, but more smokey for sure.

New Belgium's Tour De Fat pre-party at Stanley's tonight starting at 6 pm.

Old Chicago Apple Valley's Stone tap invasion started yesterday with Collective Distortion, Sprocketbier, Matt's Burning Rosids, 2014 Old Guardian, and RuinTen.

7/30 @ 3 pm - Turtle's in Shakopee taps Footprint, FOCO, and Dr. Acula.

Any tips on good taps (or good places) in the West/NW metro? I know 3 squares. I am out there for a wedding with a dumb schedule in which we have 2 hours in between the ceremony and reception. Thus, I will need to drink something delicious.

Any help is appreciated.

 

You should go to LTD in downtown Hopkins and see if it is worth all the ripping they are getting. I wouldn't suggest it if wasn't OK. Otherwise could go to Eden Prairie Tap. House in the southwest, sunshine Factory at 494 & Cty Rd. 9 usually has something decent as well.

 

Steel Toe in St. Louis Park - right off of Hwy 100 and 36th. Or Surly (right off of 100 and France)

Here's the final list for the Goose Island Migration Week Invasion at Republic 7 Corners on Wed starting at 6pm:
'12 Bourbon County Stout, Bourbon County Barleywine, '12 Bourbon County Coffee Stout, Gillian, Juliet, Lolita, Madame Rose, Devon Ave, Sofie, Matilda, 312 Wheat and 312 Pale.

 

Not a thing in that line-up that I haven't had, so not quite the draw that I was hoping for. Still very strong though! Will almost certainly make my way to Republic 7C.

Any word on other GI events? Never been around a GI Migration Week before, but figured we would have heard about other stuff going on by now.

 

So they won't have any bcbs variants? If so very disappointing
