I can be selfish and say NYC but the most logical place is Chicago. Major city in a central location that's easy to get to from anywhere in the U.S.

Washington, DC would be a great place for a beer fest, especially in the spring or fall. Virginia, Maryland, and DC constitute a solid (and quickly developing) beer scene.

As far as major cities go, Chicago is definitely not expensive.

There are a lot of reasons for Denver not least of which is, one of the brothers lives here. But we do already have GABF and a ton of other stuff so I dont want to be greedy.

If we can't convince Sean Hill to host it at Hill Farmstead, I think it ought to be in Minneapolis so I'll have a reason to go somewhere I can get Surly.

Why is everyone hell bent on a huge major city like Chicago or NY? I realize that it is slightly easier to get to but I mean it can't be too hard to get to say Charlotte NC or KCMO? I feel that a smaller place could use our money more than say Chicago. I see someone else mentioned a Carolina city - this is a really good option IMO. While obviously far from the WC the Carolinas are a great destination with tons of great cities and activities...especially some place like Asheville. Nashville TN is good too and fairly easily accessible.

All great cities . If people are going out of their way to go to a beer fest they might as well make a vacation out of it. These cities have all anyone needs in terms of amazing food, sight seeing, and of course beer!!

Maybe I've just been to the wrong parts of Chicago (admittedly, I rarely leave the downtown area), but the only place I've seen as expensive is SF.

You should definitely consider Houston, TX. Aside from the tried but true motto of "everything's bigger here", this market is booming and we are largely under served compared to other major (and several not so major) markets. Due in large part to our antiquated distribution laws, TX has a vast selection local budding brews but there is a definite thirst for new exposure to main stay brews in the craft industry. Since our local brewpub and brewery distribution and serving laws have recent loosened a bit, there is a light at the end of the tunnel for us and some representation from Ba would go a long way to further the mission.

The only catch is timing: outdoor weather is beautiful in march and April and then again in October and November.
Considering our economy is tops in the nation and population is consistently on the uptick, you would be hard pressed to find a better 'early in' opportunity than the4th largest city in the US.

Well, if no one's suggested NYC by now I guess there's no point in suggesting it.

Beer City, USA, Grand Rapids, MI. If you don't want to do it there because a large one is already held there, go west to Grand Haven, MI. Close enough for the breweries to get to, and some of the nicest beaches around.

    I shant!

But really there are a lot of really good beer bars all over the city within stumbling distance from each other. The distro isnt too shabby either.

Twin Cities, do it in St. Paul during the week of the 2018 Super Bowl in Minneapolis.

Then not only do you get the awesome Twin Cities Beer Scene, but you get the global audience who's come for the football!

St. Louis. Wanna talk about centrally located? Wanna talk about numerous craft breweries kicking ass in the backyard of AB? Wanna talk about distribution from all areas of the country, east, and west? Hotels are numerous and affordable compared to many cities. Weather is great in the spring and fall, but sucks in the winter and summer, so do it in the fall. Very high chance the Cardinals will be in the post season. Bring it!

Chicago would be cool but maybe Milwaukee/Madison to keep the cost down for all involved.

Honolulu. Admit it, if it could be there and you could go it would be the most awesome pick ever. Second choice probably San Diego. (Get away from the East Coast)

We are centrally located on the Iowa/Illinois border and we are starving for a beer fest. Craft beer is prevalent in our region but under celebrated in my town. With being 2.5 hrs from Chicago Area breweries, 3 hours from Toppling Goliath , 4 hrs from St Louis. We live in a Mecca for craft beer and it needs to be celebrated!!
