100 Beers!

This thread has me feeling a bit guilty....I've had a 179 unique since starting my Untappd in March...

 

Very nice. I dont know what part of Florida you are in, but, I would recommend getting yourself to a bottleshop, or even a Total Wine, and start buying single bottles. If I were you, I would pick out a case (24 bottles) of different things. Since you only drink 2-4 a month, none of those beers should be IPAs or hop-forward beers. Get some porters, stouts, Belgian styles, barleywines, a nice mix. Also I recommend making friends with people who do drink beer. Start your own bottleshare circuit. Whats a bottleshare? (I get this question so often) Everyone brings a couple bottles, usually on the more expensive side, and you all share them. Its a great way to try new things.

 

Don't feel too guilty, I got to 900 uniques in a year and I'm coming up on 1000 soon.

 

How did I miss that. Somebody owes me.

 

It's crazy how I've been such a big fan of this site and how long I waited to actually join... I used to tick on a composition book- lol yea the black and white spotted compo book-

I haven't read the thread but what was your 100 brew? Anything special?

Edit: I'm not a big "special brew guy". I've never saved a special brew for milestones - they've all been cool with me ... Which Is probably the main reason why I don't have a blog - I'm not really subjective- I love everything

^^This. Started Untappd in Oct. 2013 when I really got into craft beer, and have 386 distinct to date, without any fests or major tastings in there.

Congrats on 100, and keep your pace and positive attitude, so you'll be just as excited at 200, 300, etc!

 

We really need to drink some beers together. Bring mipsy out my way and we'll meet up at TH or F&M.

 

Love the thread. Give me a nice long (4 day) weekend and I can add 100 new. Chicago has an avalanche of offerings. I am all in.

 

Time and place. That's all I need!

 

Well F&M is easier than TH for me. Thursdays and Fridays aren't good for me, and they're closed Mondays.

Sounds like we're at "Forest and Main, you pick a Tuesday or Wednesday"

Averaging 3 unique beers a day for a year? That sounds delicious. Nice work.

 

Congrats...so many beers...so little time

 

I just passed 300

 

It was just an average as a fair portion of them came on a few select days, a couple festivals and the day I hit Bear Republic, Russian River, and Lagunitas all in the same day and sampled every single beer the three locations were pouring (47).

That said, it was a very delicious year, and I managed to pre-load my fridge enough that even though my wallet finally bitch-slapped me into submission, I have another tasty year lined up.
