it says that its from august to october on their official site
i would think they would announce which beers will be in it by now but i cannot find it anywhere
will it be the same as last year then?
i wont be complaining at all if that is the case sam adams harvest variety pack was awesome in 2013

Boston Lager (why?), Harvest Saison (a new release), OctoberFest and Harvest Pumpkin are the only ones listed in the "New on the Shelves" section in September's All About Beer mag. Maybe they're going 3 bottles each instead of 2 each of 6 different beers? OR maybe 2 other beers will be announced later?

I'll get it once just for the Harvest Saison if thats the only new one which I dont think it is. I dont think they'd switch to 3 of each and give you 3 Boston Lagers. :grimacing:

Have nothing against that beer; it's one of my everyday go-to brews. Just wondering why it has to be in every variety pack. Especially, when you can already get it as a sixer, 12 pack bottles, 12 pack cans. Would rather have another brew in there like, maybe, Black Lager or something not already so available.

I would love to see Bonfire come back! Harvest Saison sounds good, too. Fall beers are my favorite and Sammy makes 'em the best in my opinion.

If latitude 48 is in there with boston lager I might not buy it this year. I'm with the crowd that thinks boston lager does not need to be in the sampler packs. It also seems that they have been throwing latitude 48 in there about as frequently as their flagship beer. It doesn't help that I haven't been an IPA fan for a long time, so that makes 1/3 of this pack not appealing to me.

That was last year's, there is still no solid info on this year's other than what was provided above.

I would imagine it's because Sam Adams isn't targeting beer-geeks with their variety packs. Instead, I wager they are targeting the casual craft drinker.

I have started to skip the variety pack and just buy a 12 pack of Oktoberfest. It's the best one around.

I still buy the variety pack, but SA's Octoberfest holds a soft spot for me, as it was THE beer that got me into craft beer all those years ago. Look forward to it every year!

My best friend buys literally one of every SA variety pack without fail so I try all the beers vicariously through his dollar. For my money, I will always buy Octoberfest as a standalone. I love that beer.

I always pick up the fall sampler, more tradition than anything. It's the first variety pack that got me into craft.

There are 2 beers that Sam really does right, Octoberfest and Noble Pils. I'd skip the sampler just due to the pumpkin beer.

This is the first season (summer '14) that I did not get the seasonal pack from Sam. I just didn't feel like any of them were actually new. I feel like I've had these ones before. If the trend holds for I will buy it anyway though because I really like the both fall and spring packs the best.
