I think we can all agree that there was a lot of Beatification b5 trading going on the past few months, but it got me wondering: how much Beatification is still in California? I'm not sure on the exact bottle count, case count, etc., and this is all speculative, but what do you think a fair rough estimate would be? The majority still in the state or the majority departed? Obviously, I'm not part of this region being Texas based, but I figured posting this anywhere else it would get moved rather quickly. EDIT: I had one and it was awesome, hopefully more will come my way in the future!
Not sure on the exact number, IIRC from another thread it was estimated around 6k bottles, and this was definitely their biggest batch yet. There was crazy amounts of trade activity for about a month after release, but I'd still bet that the majority is in the hands of Cali BAs and those who drove/flew out for the release, which was a surprising amount. When you're a trader it's also easy to forget that it's a very small part of a relatively small subculture, so I figure most of it is sitting safe in cellars. BM if you're looking for some, I still have a few and I've been waiting to hear back from someone for a while but I'm getting impatient...
Just FYI it was a brewery release only and santa rosa is over an hour drive from SF worse with traffic. If you trade with someone in LA be prepared they probably went to a lot of trouble to get it.
