2 Boston lagers 4 harvest saisons(new) 4 octoberfest and 2 harvest pumpkins........I'm kinda disappointed that they went this direction with the pack I wish they would have brought back bonfire or hazel browm

Hmm if this is true, this is an interesting format and completely different than what SA has been doing for some time with their seasonals. However, I am not against this and would rather get four beers that I know I will enjoy vs. six and two-three are beers I don't really like.

I'm hoping this is a sign of things to come and SA scales back a little bit; in my opinion they now brew too many beers that are too similar and I'd rather seem them focus their efforts elsewhere.

Sorry to disappoint you guys, but the Fall pack has to have a White Ale of some sort; the last 3 variety packs have all had them at some point. Maybe this time it'll be spiced with nutmeg and cinnamon, and they can call it something generic like "Fall Harvest White" or "White Equinox" or something. Gotta have more of them spiced whites!

Good god; no they don't. IMO they brew too many white/wit ales, and all are very average.

SA Octoberfest = too sweet, Boston Lager is good but I agree it is no special occasion to get your hands on it and I always end up disappointed with at least one or two of their variety pack selections. I am patiently waiting and saving my beer funds for Paulaner weisn', Ayinger Ofest and Hoffbrau Ofest. Which I will consume in the dead of fall!!!

Well from these pictures it appears to be confirmed! I'm totally down with this pack and I like the look of it better than their current artwork too and I will definitely be grabbing one, along with the SN Fall variety pack.

I like where they may be going with this new format.

Well, the 4 type format will work if they finally shed Boston Lager, otherwise it feels even less seasonal. Or maybe do Octoberfest seperate in 12 packs as well, so we can just get 4 unique styles a season, minus the obligatory lager and over *****d seasonal.

Might skip this year's box unless the Harvest Saison is really good. Their pumpkin beer is ok but largely forgettable. I don't regret it being in the pack but I wouldn't ever buy it as a sixer or anything. I can just buy a sixer of O-fest and a sixer of BL and have my Sam quota filled for the fall.

They better have Old Fezziwig and Holiday Porter in the winter pack again this year, or I might skip that one, too.

The 2011 Winter Classics with BL, WL, OF, HP, Black and Brew and Chocolate Bock was the best one they've put out since I got into beer. Wouldn't complain if the Cream Stout was back this year, either. I think I liked the 2011 Fall pack the best, too. Had Black Lager and Irish Red along with BL, O-fest, Pumpkin, and Bonfire Rauchbier.

Looking forward to the Harvest Saison, that alone may be worth the 12 pack, the other ones are pretty good, too but Hazel Brown, Bonfire, and Dunkelweizen have been my favorite fall beers.

Well, actually, I know a guy who took down a whole six pack of Schlafly pumpkin ale in a night. So I guess that theory is out.

I dont mind the change to 4-4-2-2. Was never a fan of their 2-2-2-2-2-2 deal.

I drink pumpkin ales by the 6 pack, Schlafly included. It is a bit much at 8% abv. Problem is, you can't tell it has a high abv at all. I usually can't get more than 2 or 3 6 packs a season, so I really splurge when I get them.

Agreed, their scotch ale is still an unsung favorite of mine that is rarely seen save for the occasional inclusion in a variety pack. Bonfire should be in there & the Dunkelweizen as well as was already stated.

I'll pick one of these up for sure. SA always does a great variety pack.
