So tomorrow I will hit 500 reviews and 5000 likes in my just over 4 years on here. I have really rated and loved so many beers in the last 4 plus years, but none more than the picture beer. Since they changed it to being able to just go and give a grade, 500 is a big number that most will never see. Not sure if I should be proud, but to me this was an awesome 4 plus beer years.

I was just recently surprised to receive The Abyss as an extra! Can't wait to try it but I might need to wait for a semi-special occasion! Or maybe not!
Totally agree on The Abyss by the way... had it with Parabola a little while back and they weren't even in the same league IMO.
I'm a little shy of 500 myself and probably should have been there a LONG time ago, but I frequent BA much less these days. Congrats on the accomplishment! I do feel like 500 should be much more common though now that you don't have to have to write a full review. I remember when I first joined there were numerous regular users on the forum who had well over 500 (often over 1000) full written reviews and thought DAMN, they drink a lot. Either way, 500 is still a lot of beer but the journey is far from over. Enjoy.
I remember drinking an 07 Abyss which I believe was 2 years old at the time and was one of the best beers I ever had.
You don't get credit for a review by doing a quick pick, so OP is probably spot on in his assessment. I've had over 550 beers, but only have done 12 reviews (lazy - yes sir!) Quite an accomplishment; I applaud you sir. BTW, I love The Abyss as well. 2010 is my favorite vintage. Cheers!
