If it weren't for OT posts, threads like these would die earlier than necessary Where in NJ are you heading to? Based on using Rt 80/78 I'm assuming Northern NJ? If that is the case, I don't have anything for you but a coworker is from the Scranton area and while he's not as much of a beer nerd as you or I, he might have a suggestion.

If you're headed further south in NJ, you could take Rt 476 instead of Rt 380, and that'll take you through the Lehigh Valley (stop at BrewWorks in either Allentown or Bethlehem), and it'll bring you in striking distance of my neck of the woods, where we've got Forest & Main and Tired Hands. BrewWorks is open for lunch, but (during the week) the other two are not and do not open until 4pm.

If you're specifically looking for a bottle shop, there are 3 in my area I'd consider must stops, Capone's in East Norriton (very near Plymouth Meeting, where Rt 476 goes from "NE Extension" to "Blue Route" and intersects the PA Turnpike); The Beer Shoppe in Ardmore (a block from Tired Hands) and The Beer Store in Southampton.

There's also Shangy's, a beer distributor (i.e. full cases) in Emmaus, PA. I've never been there but I hear ridiculous things about them, Emmaus is very near Allentown.

 

Yeah I wasn't into craft beer enough when I was in Bethlehem to know about bottle shops up there, but I've heard good things about Shangy's recently, probably worth the stop to see what they've got going on; and I definitely recommend a pit stop at BrewWorks, especially the one in Bethlehem which does a ton of pub-only items that they don't bottle for distribution.

edit: I know Ardmore is a bit out of reach, but if you do get to Plymouth Meeting, let me know, I work 3 minutes from the Turnpike entrance there, and Capone's (15 minutes up the road) will have things you can't get, not just "in NJ" but in general, they have an awesome selection, (particularly if you're into Belgians) and some cool vintage stuff too, just be prepared for it not being the cheapest place.

Whole Foods is right off the turnpike, however, has great prices and a pretty nice selection as well, and is the way to and from the turnpike.

 

I tried to hit as many of the wants as I could with throwing in some Fresh Good Vibes (just bottled for the first time ever last Friday) and some Hoodoo. Dulachan is good and that Sprague Farm can was their first ever can release. I don't even know if anyone has a review on it yet. I just tried one the other day. Not bad.
