there were probably some stragglers for an hour, but I'd say if you were not in there immediately at noon chances of getting shut out were high.

I spaced until 12:15 and then said "OH SHIT" When I got to the site it said that they were sold out but I wait and refreshed until some became available. Got my 2 tickets hip-hooray!!

Well at least there is the inevitability of the numerous "bought 8 too many. Oops!" Craigslist postings

Nope, they were 50 a piece. This frustrates me.

    I did the same.

Ten tickets per person is way too high. Wasn't it 6 before?

I know last year, there were a few people posting on here to get rid of tickets (closer to the date). If you want to get real adventurous, wait until day of and get them discounted.

This fest is already pushing it at $50.00 IMO.

Especially if the line is anything like last year to get in. You may find someone towards the end who doesn't want to wait. That's why I didn't even bother to get tickets this year. I think I'll host my own beer fest. My cellar needs a clearing anyways.

Is there a comparable fest that you think is a better value?

All pints north is 35 but you have to spend a night in duluth or have a dd.
St. Paul summer beer fest is 40 but not even close to the same level.
The beer dabbler events are 40 but again, not in the same league.
Don't get me started on the shock top/blue moon sponsored events that are in the 30-45 dollar range.

I'm not saying it is perfect as they royally screwed up the entrance last year, but quality vs. price it beats out everything else.

Shit. Work got in the way, which should never happen. I'll be on the lookout for tickets, would hate to break up our run of attendance at ABR.

My group has several extra tickets and we'll sell them at face value. Shoot me a BM if you find yourself needing one.

$50 will get you like 3 special poors at some bars (looking east), I'd say this fest is def worth the money.

I dont know about that. I had a 2-3 pours of Abyss, Dissident, Exodus... I drank my weight in Russian Roulette, and some other Great Beers. I got to try BA9k and some other beers I will never see again.

I paid $65 for the Twin Ports Brew Fest. Total rip-off if you went for the beer. HOWEVER, since the Dropkick Murphy's played, I would have paid more. My wife took advantage of the Shock Top and Blue Moon though.

I'm hoping that Ngon is there again this year.
