I've never made a trade (just BIF's), but might have to start checking out people's wants... I have some pretty decent stuff downstairs that I like, just not as much as I think most people do...and all these boxes I've been collecting are gonna be too small for our next round anyway...

 

You could also do LIFs to thin out your basement For example: "First one to suggest I do LIFs wins beer, GO!" ... that one works rather nicely.

 

OK, I am probably gonna regret asking this, but ... what does the "L" stand for in "LIF"?

'Lottery'. Examples include:
Charity raffles, like @forgetfu's LIF (stickied on the BIF forum) where participants buy raffle tickets
General giveaways, such as "the first one who suggests I do LIFs wins beer"
'Competitive' LIFs like the 50 States LIFs or @PA-Michigander's monthly sports-related ones.

This works very nicely as well. Do I now win all LIFs forever?

So much talk about LIFs, time for me to share some San Diego local "wants"! (area from San Diego to Central Cali)

This is for the night owls of July 31, like this post and I'll randomly pick a winner Friday midday.

This runs from now to 6:00 am Pacific (California time).

I'll check your wants and see if I can hit at least 3 bottles from what I have or our local shops, it depends on your wants. If you only have 1 San Diego want, maybe you get only 1 bottle or 3 of the same bottle. Depends on the beer.

As I said, fast and quick LIF for night owls.

Thanks for the chance! I don't know what's in my wants, but Sculpin variants are top wants, and would love any Alpine I haven't had (Duet, Nelson, Pure Hoppiness).

For once being a night owl might actually pay off instead of me paying for it all the next day. But I have to admit that @Lehighace06 is more of a night owl considering he is in the Eastern time zone.

One other piece of (self-serving) commentary ... if you want it to be a "night owl" thing, maybe scale it back to 3am pacific, to avoid including the east coast early risers (6am pacific is 9am eastern, lots of people posting earlier than that in the morning)

Holy crap, I just realized how much I've been posting in this thread... you guys must be sick of me by now, ESPECIALLY if you're also in the Stouts BIF... I'm gonna (try to, and probably fail) fade into the shadows for a little while...

 

I'm such a night owl that I'm awake at 3am CT. Unfortunately, that because that's what time I had to wake up today...

 

Damn you even got up earlier than me by 50 minutes
