It isn't really a brewery in planning per say, but one of my buddies is coming out with a lineup that will be brewed and bottled at Adelbert's. It's going to be wild, barrel-fermented stuff. Judging by some cursory tastes from the barrels, it's going to be some really good stuff.

There's a new brewpub expected to open this fall in SA called Southerleigh Brewing Company.

I think La Grange/Wild Bunch Brewing Company are two different breweries and are both brewing already.

See, I found conflicting info on that one. I took it as La Grange changed it's name to Wild Bunch, but I could be easily mistaken.

After going through the Wild Bunch Brewing page, it appears that they are open and producing, so I will move that one off the list.

Now, just to find anything about La Grange being different....

La Grange introduced their beers at Big Hops during SABW this year. It was like a Red IPA and something like a blond I think. Wild Bunch is definitely a different brewery that I think uses Brett in all of their beers but I'm not quite sure since they never responded to my email :slight_frown:

    Heh...no shit.

My guess? 60-70% will get to completion. I say the number is that high because I would guess 30-40% of them are already in the construction/ordering phases.

Good news for home brewers... there will be some nice brewing equipment on Craigslist here in the next few years. Too many new breweries trying to brew the same shit (IPA, Pale Ale, Porter, Amber).

    Interesting.

    So, I see La Grange has a TABC permit #: B 837882.

That is the only brewery permit I could find in La Grange. They also only have two beers with label approval - an IPA and a "Black Bierd Ale"

As for Wild Bunch, I searched through the label approvals and there was nothing with the word "bunch" in it and wild only showed other beers. So, I do not see anything with regards to them. I am going to continue digging - but they may have gotten approved under some other name....

After going through Untappd, Wild Bunch only has two beers - a black ale and an IPA. Something tells me they are La Grange....

They also have a Gold something. I've seen it on tap at Flying Saucer. I'm pretty sure the La Grange was a red IPA but I could be wrong, I haven't had it. But I have had the two Wild Bunch beers you listed and the IPA was not red and it smelled like cheese.

La Grange's label approvals do not specify a Red IPA. Their IPA that they have approved is just a "Double ZZ IPA"

After looking into that label approval, La Grange uses an address of PO Box 0700 La Grange. That is the same address of Wild Bunch's website.

So, Wild Bunch "could" be brewing at La Grange? Or they are the same company? I still have yet to see anything on TABC about Wild Bunch.

I think you are thinking of Goliad Brewing come to think of it.

They have a Red IPA, Golden Ale, and Black Hef and a normal Hef.

Ah! you're right! Whatever one of those small places. You were probably right the whole time about them being the same place. I would say email them and ask but....

I wouldn't be surprised if they were forced to change their name from La Grange since Rahr & Sons has a beer called La Grange. Just my guess....

I had a taste of one of the "Wild Brewing" beers in New Braunfels a few months back. It was horrible. I think it was supposed to be a Black IPA but smelled like old socks. From what the bartender said they were based in La Grange and moving to Canyon Lake. Or maybe it was the other way around.
