I couldn't disagree with this statement any more than I do.

As of this weekend I know it was brewed and waiting to be packaged. It could be coming sooner than later/

With Dissenter tomorrow and Mars and Little Sumpin' Extra (hopefully) next week, it's gonna be a very hoppy time in Kalamazoo.

I one time (mostly) jokingly said that I was going to apply to http://www.mars-one.com in an effort to brew a Martian Pale Ale (MPA).

    I'm down with this though.

Will this be seeing the Northeast (specifically NY?). I can't remember what the original post about this release stated. If not, very ISO.

Holst wrote the suite based on the order of discovery of the Planets to that point, using the Roman God(esse)s and their mythology as inspiration to the music. I did my thesis on this suite in music school a few years ago, so needless to say I'm enthralled by the inception of this "beer suite".

Also, Berliner Philharmoniker's recording is superior.

Have they described what kind of DIPA it will be? Or the hops being used?

If bottles are coming off the line right now, and it's an DIPA, wouldn't it be showing up maybe next week, especially in Bell's closest distro areas? Bell's usually has a pretty good distro network to get their stuff out quick. I got two hearted cans three weeks after can date in PA(and they haven't shown up since)

Will New York be seeing The Oracle and Mars? Back in October we started seeing Bells distro, and I was able to get Hopslam along with the usuals, but Black Note never made it out this way, so I'm wondering if these will make it to NY too.

Because there may be a bit of backlash when attempting to sell a liquid beverage with the title 'Mercury'

Unsure where in NY you are but Black Note made it to NYC, granted in super limited quantities.

I'm in Orange County (about 60 miles north of NYC) and we did not see even one bottle of Black Note. We did see a good amount of Hop Slam however.

Mars will be a late August release for Michigan distribution. I'm sure they'll tap kegs early at the Eccentric Cafe though.

If you want to listen to all the pieces while reading up on the beers (and the planets) you can spend some time here:

If you sync this with the start of the Wizard Of Oz, Dorothy trades Toto to Ms. Gulch for a sixer of Hopslam. Then she tells the Scarecrow that it's not as good as last year's.

We've actually landed on Mars. So from that standpoint, it's probably the planet we most understand and seem to have the most interest in.

If they're not brewing these with Galaxy hops, they're goddamn fools.
