I think it's hilarious that no one has voted for 18-20. Don't worry kids, we aren't going to narc on you. You don't have to vote for 21-30.

I'm impressed they were able to vote at all, given that a computer was required to do it.

I am 22. While I'm sure I am one of the younger ones here, I appreciate and enjoy craft beers and being an advocate.

I was a member since September 24, 2002...I was born on September, 7 1982. I became a member a couple weeks after I turned 20, and had been drinking at a local Pittsburgh established beer bar. When I got back from California and had last a couple fake IDs, I was still craving the good stuff. I checked out this beer bar, and started talking beer with the bartender on staff that knew his stuff. I was never ID'd and I continued to hang out there, and get educated. When I turned 21 I stopped in to buy a 3 liter bottle of Belgian Ale, when they asked me what the special occasion was...I had to fess up that I was turning 21 and celebrating!!!

26, and I tend to get both extremes when it comes to carding. Sometimes cashiers won't even glance at me and they'll put in the generic age verification, while last week I ordered a beer at a restaurant and the waitress clearly became uncomfortable, practically stuttering when she asked for my ID. After that, she apologized, "Sorry, I thought you were... you looked like..." and she didn't finish her sentence. I'm curious of how young she thought I was.

Hey! That's ageist. When my nana got a smart phone, the first thing I taught her was how to text "I've fallen and I can't get up."

I'm sure it's the usually chain stores and groceries that have that sort of policy, but that was the first time I ran into it personally. Total Wine in NJ hasn't carded me yet, but I'll have to be prepared in the future .

True, beer (and wine, anything that doesn't qualify as liquor really) in Germany is actually legal at the age of 16 so go figure. Suffice it to say, I'm of legal U.S. drinking age so I guess I'm one of the youngest here.

I have to admit I'm a little surprised by the results. I'm a few weeks shy of 45 and proud of it  I wouldn't want to be any other age. I would have expected the distribution to be a little more bell shaped.

This would have been much more interesting if the ranges were smaller. I'm curious to see what the 21-30 group looks like split up. I wonder how many fresh 21ers are active on this site.

This isn't an AARP forum either. Stupid to include anything over 70+. I highly doubt a 90 year old is going to be actively reading beeradvocate forums...

27 and repping the babyfaces in the forums here. You always get carded when you always look like you're not even 20 apparently - even with the streaks of gray hair.

    23. I look fairly young still though. I'm a bar manager so when I card people, sometimes they ask for my ID in return!
