I beat all of you in the youth department! Will be 22 in less then a month

 

Beer is 40 x as expensive as it was when I began.And nearly half of that is tax.

I do remember accidentally pulling out my concealed carry permit once...that was...amusing...

I have been carded twice. First time I was 15, trying to buy in Nebraska, the age was 20, and I had bought at that bar before.

Second time I was pushing 40. Asked the clerk why, he was bored.

My first taste of beer I was 5 or 6. I could reach the top shelf in the Frigidaire (I was a big kid). Bud came in steel cans and everyone carried a church key. Dad wanted his Bud with a full cut opposite a half cut. And he never said a word about the small loss of beer, or the lip prints I must have left.

 

I'm 24.

Sometimes my trade partners are shocked when they find out. I guess they view me as some old coot sitting in an armchair sneering at Stone Brewing's latest beer.

Old enough that I definitely don't fit in the median craft beer age range. In fact, I think I make all those young whipper snappers nervous at tastings sometimes. I'm just late getting started.
