Yes. I almost always drink beer out of a glass ( preferably a pint glass). I just don't like drinking from a bottle or a can anymore, unless there is no other choice.

I used to go to a quirky brewpub. They call it 3Floyds now.

My local brew store sells bottles individually, so my quirk is each bottle is something different, maybe 2 of old raspy, but that's it. I get 2 6 packs and get 10% off each sixer i buy.

That's why I don't like to pair beer with food. For some, it cleanses the palate for the next bite of food. For me, the food ruins my palate for the next sip of beer.

The only time I ever loved a food pairing was Sucaba with cheese and crackers.

Fun thread ... In addition to some of those mentioned here (must use a glass for craft beers, sniffing caps, cannot cross running water), I enjoy reading a beer book while drinking, if I am at home. Ideally I will read about the style I am drinking, or read about the type of hops or malts in what I am drinking.

I'm the exact same way. I can't stand eating food with beer. Even if it "pairs well" with the particular style I'm enjoying at the time. Maybe my palate just isn't sophisticated enough to appreciate that yet but I always feel like food ruins whatever beer I'm currently enjoying at the time.
I also can't stand frosted mugs? What's up with that!?

I have to rotate the beer in my fridge every hour. Maybe that is more OCD.

I do something kind of, but not exactly like this. My beer fridge is usually stocked full of IPAs (the other stuff sits in cases) and I tend to grab the ones I have a lot of, not wanting to drink the last bottle of Chillwave/Palate Wrecker/whatever (despite its age) because then it will be gone and thus unavailable for me to choose in the future.

My buddies think it's weird that I like to snift a newly cracked cap or cork.

I'm pretty much the same way with beer and food (except cheese). Especially with IPA's, I find I almost always extremely dislike all IPA's if I drink them while eating.

I'm totally fine with "Brewed on" or "Canned on" dates but "Enjoy by" or "Best before" dates really get my goat.

I dig having beer with food, but I don't really overthink it. I do enjoy a good brewer's dinner, though. But one of my favorite beer/food pairings is beer and chili. Specifically my venison chili chock full of habaneros, serranos and jalapenos...nothing like a big DIPA to cut right through that heat...any lesser beer is just lost.

I would say mine would have to be gravitating towards what I feel are cool label designs/names on beers while not giving beers lacking cool labels or beers with weird names less of a look.

When I go to purchase beer, I never take the first pack or bottle in the very front. And when I do get it, I yell, "Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner"
