Looks like the rest of us are trying to run with the young "go-hards". No wonder all I could score this past year was 2 bottles of bcbcs. The way its going I'm going to be wrestling a baby for a 4 pack of regular bcbs in a few years.

Except me, for one. I'll be 63 in 9 weeks and as immature as I ever was.
Just remember: You can only be young once, but you can be immature forever.

I was never a big drinker before 21, but my favorite part of turning 21 was finally being able to buy what I wanted, not what the supplier normally bought (as they'd typically refuse to buy anything else for fear of raising suspicion). Thus it began.

When I turned 18, my dad said I can drink all the beer I want at home. But, I coudln't leave the house. The novelty wore off pretty quick.

You are just a few years older than me, but so is your "mental" age. So aging is indeed proportionate, or a correlating sliding scale? My wife would be thrilled to hear that. Probably good news for my organs too.

Not a bad policy. My folks were adamant that if I went out and had anything to drink, I call them for a ride home. One thing's for certain - the kids who were never, under any circumstances, allowed to have any alcohol before age 21... well, an awful lot of them went off to college and developed real drinking problems. I believe in education over fear.
