What beer are you drinking now? #654

How is the Unapologetic broke? I have one and haven't tried yet.

 

Another beautiful day fishing off the Santa Barbara coast. Enjoying a FMB "101" Kolsch style while processing fish and cleaning gear. Beer is very refreshing though my young beer palate can't quite pick anything out. Perfect day fishing beer.

Found this on a recent trip out of state, and being a 90's music fanatic and Sub Pop fan needed to pick it up. Best to be drunk while listening to one of my all time favorite Sub Pop albums...

 

Finally broke my beer "fast" after nearly two weeks, (not pictured), had a Stone Coffee Milk Stout.. Was so excited to try this bad boy, but was a major disappointment. I thought the low ABV would result in an in-your-face coffee punch, but the coffee was barely there. Too weak and too thin to keep me interested, major disappointment considering what else I could have gotten for $10.99 (I'm looking at you White Rajah).



Then, to make up for it, one of these classics! Can you believe it has been almost a year since I last had one? Well, main reason I picked up beer in the first place is because I was buying some Whole Milk mozzarella for pizza, but whole foods only had a 4 lbs block and I only needed a bit less than a lbs, so popped open the stone while I waited.

My recent favorite pizza sauce has been to buy the crushed san marzanos and put in a small pot over a medium-low heat for about an hour to reduce, added fresh thyme and oregano from the garden, a little bit of garlic, and a pinch of salt... perfection!




Then I added some freshly grated whole milk mozzarella, two jalepenos sliced thinly (from the garden), and black olive.



Then I topped it with 3/4 lbs of hot chorizo from the WF meat department, a ton of pepperoni, and more whole milk mozzarella.



Then the bake.. grill @ 450 for 12 minutes.



And the final product... yum....!



Beer never tasted so good! Cheers BA!

 

I'm having Two Women tonight. And you guys thought you were having a good night. Glad I was able to give it a try but I will be sticking to Moon Man from now on. Moon Man was the only beer out of the mixed 12 that was really good.

 

This is a low ABV flavor bomb, this would be awesome on a hot day and it's equally delicious in a climate controlled setting.

Really bummed that the photo turned out so crappy. Oh well. Good beer! My first Brett, so far as I know. But it still bothers me - what are the differences between wild and domesticated yeast? How can you domesticate yeast?

 

Just grabbed a fresh pack of Narwhal so enjoying this while the Beast chills...
