I studied graphic design for a couple years before switching to printmaking, but I still love nerding out about label designs. I flipped out last year when I got a bottle of Stone's 17th Anniversary Götterdämmerung and noticed it had a hidden message. Sort of. It's pretty blatant but it could easily go unnoticed. [Little late on the post, I know] ST(one) / ONE(seven), separated by the gargoyle's arm. Have you any of you noticed any clever label designs like this?
Split up the letters ST with the number one under it is ST-one or Stone. ONE with the number seven under is 17. Its redundant but clever.
On the Lagunitas Lucky 13 label you might notice the "EXAYEAYEAYE" at the top. Which if you read it out loud is the phonetic for X, I, I, I or XIII the roman numeral 13. i hope someone notices a label that turns into a treasure map when you fold it in half.
