    What should i do here?

I make a trade with a guy, 3 beers for 3 beers. I send him his 3... plus a couple extras. I receive my box it only has 1 of the said beers.... plus 3 extras. I send him an email asking what happened to the other 2 beers. He responds saying he thought it was 2 beers for 3 and says he forgot to send 1 and that he will send it and that i shouldnt be mad because he sent nice extras. He sent a Devil dancer, Lucid Dreams, and a Double crooked tree IPA (dated february). Extras are just that EXTRAS! So we go back and forth a bit and finally i say whatever dude just send the 1 beer you said you forgot and we will be done. (obviously i would never trade with him again). Its been a week now, no beer, no tracking info, no response to my messages.

I want to leave negative feedback, But i dont want retaliation feedback left, How do i handle this?

Out him. I don't doubt your story but let him show up and defend himself or be forever shamed.
Also, in another thread retaliatory feedback would likely end in a banning for someone who does that.

The guy didn't fulfill his end of trade, he needs to be outed as a bad trader.

Judging by the extras, sounds like a Michigan guy.

Do you have the emails with the initial trade proposal? I say out him too. Don't let others get swindled.

Post this thread, with his name, in the Trading Feedback/Help forum. Naming and Shaming can guilt him into following through, and everyone here likes to know who traders like this are, so we can avoid trading with them in the future.

I would definitely leave negative feedback. Otherwise how would future traders know not to trade with him. If there is retaliation feedback posted, maybe the Bros can accommodate by removing the negative feedback with proof of jackassery trading.

You should call him out just for sending an IPA dated in Feb, that's absurd (and one of my biggest pet peeves).

In all seriousness, call him out.......for the IPA.

Let's not trash the Double Crooked Tree. It ages very well. I'm sitting on a few to open next year.

That being said, out the dude.

Pro tip... Make sure your email thread always includes a message that in part looks something like this:
Then wait for the other person to confirm before going ahead with the trade. Helps avoid miscommunications, ambiguities, and resulting situations like the one you're now dealing with.

People know I usually push of outing someone as soon as possible. This case seems to me to be a miscommunication that lead to a downward spiral (back and forth, annoyance, etc.) that basically lead the other trader to stop responding. Without seeing the PMs, it's hard to say. I'm betting on his fulfilling his end of the bargain though and would give him a chance rather than call him a bad trader yet.

@fthegiants , maybe point him to this thread and say that you will give him x days before outing him. Don't say "a few", but rather exact # of days you're willing to wait. Good luck with it.

I think your hypothetical trade is a little off. Probably need to throw in a regular Huna to make it work. PBR is blue ribbon stuff. Says so right on the can!

OP, did you clearly spell out the trade? What was the trade for?

So he deserves the benefit of the doubt when you usually pull out the pitchfork and flamethrower????

@fthegiants - as a recent victim of one of the "blown out of proportion" threads, I commend you for taking the high road and not tossing a person (who may innocent and just confused) to the wolves. Give the guy a chance. Let him know your expected resolution date and that he will be outed as a bad trader if he does not comply or reach a resolution with you before that date. Handle this in private as people honestly do make mistakes. Don't let a bunch of finger pointers decide what is right/wrong to do with this trade. We were not part of the trade, so why should we hop in now.

    just my .02
