Starting with a classic, Hoptimum up next. Its quite nice to have a beer store that still has 2013 bigfoot stacked to the ceiling

Sounds like I hoped it would! Another Heritage-style album wouldn't a bad thing for me; I loved it. A lot of Grand Conjuration in that intro, too. The album comes out the day before my birthday; I'm thinking I need to buy myself a present. (Who am I kidding; it's obviously already pre-ordered on Amazon).

Joakim seems to work out quite well, and Axe and Fredrik have adjusted to the newer, prog-gier sound just as well. So glad Steven Wilson is still involved (I'm a SW/PT junkie right now). Sounds really, really good so far.

I believe this is the second time in the last 3 years that I have failed to drink an IPA on IPA day. Oh well.

Seeing as this thread is often as much "What are you Eating Now?" as it is "What Beer are you Drinking Now?", I figured I'd post a pic of the delicious, scrumptious freaking burger I....

    .....that I.....

    .....that I already ate.

I couldn't help myself. So damn good!

But, at least there are another 7.3 hours remaining in IPA Day!

    Getting a sense of vertigo?

Beer gets a little rougher and hotter as it warms (hotter as in alcohol heat...although, technically, yes, it does get warmer as it gets warmer, because that's how words work). Still damn delicious.

@ThreeTens inspired me to go back in time a bit today:

    Cheers, BAs!

    Smuttynose Bouncy House IPA

Well, this is very likely my favorite beer from Smuttynose so far. Like the Brew Free! or Die that I had yesterday, the smell of west coast hops punched me right in the face after I finished pouring it. The taste is very bitter, more-so than I expected, but I am not complaining as this is a very flavorful beer. It leaves a nice lacing on the glass after every sip. 3.85/5
