    I had rather say, "What has BEER done for me?" The "craft" moniker is hackneyed beyond real meaaning, so I'll simply say that BEER (and wine) have both provided me with a life long passion and vocation. I've always loved great beer and sought it out everywhere I've ever gone. It must be genetic. My family has always been involved in this business and it continues to provide pleasure and surprises. That North Carolina has emerged as such a strong locale in this current great evolution of American brewing makes me especially proud. Cheers all.

    it has expanded my palate overall. If it was not for beer, this may have never happened. I pay close attention to flavor as a result.

    Craft beer has taught me that brewers have the capability to produce something absolutely beautiful. It made me gain weight and spend a lot of money. BUT, it also taught me about moderation and impulse control. Lost weight, then started saving money. Realized I don't need every "whale." It made me appreciate the local brewers and helped me support them.

    It's taught me financial and personal discipline.
    It's lead me to some truly beautiful places across the country.
    It's given me something to obsess over other than video games (which I have basically quit now).
    It is a contributing factor to the improved relationship that I have with my brother.
    It made it very difficult for me to help my wife pick out our Christmas tree this year the day after a bachelor party in Portland, Maine.

    Hey, 4 out of 5 ain't bad.
